I wear it as a base layer out on my road bike or a few weeks ago under my waterproof when I did the Yorkshire three peaks. It’s been washed and washed and still looks good.
Quality & good value
Nice quality top, I'm probably between L & XL, fit is ok. Some reflexive details for visibility Great value.
Good addition to any wardrobe
This is a great comfortable base layer for all of your active needs, keeping you cool on hot days and toasty when she's a chilly one. The Polygiene works great in keeping you smelling fresh. Only minor issues is I'd say the fit is a wee bit short in the body and I've found a few pulled threads after minimal wear. Overall another great value product from Alpkit!
It got me kitted out when I started cycling, but for long bike-packing trips...
I have recently returned from a 2200+ mile, 10 week bike packing/touring trip from Lands End to the north of the Shetland Islands. As well as including the Alpkit Stingray bag, STEM Cells and Fuel pod as part of my bike setup I took the Rythmn short sleeve and Kepler Velo Long Sleeve to wear when in hot and not-too-cold weather respectively.
During several months of training, I used the Squaline windshell, Rythmn Thicky Jersey and the Koulin Trail long sleeve base layer based on an Alpkit article about what to wear in each season. While these items got be going and eased me into the expense of kitting up for cycling and bike-packing (I started 2 years ago), out of necessity for my bike trip I chose to purchase items from other manufacturers that were less weight, less bulk, more ‘breathable’ and quicker drying. I am not suggesting the Alpkit kit fails. It cost me an arm and a leg to purchase this other kit, but low weight and bulk, the best breathability and drying times I could get were critical for me to achieve a 15kg kit load. It would be good if the drying time of the Thicky could be improved. After a laundry wash it was touch and go whether it would be dry by the next day, and I am sure that it wouldn’t have been dry by the next day on a bike-packing/camping trip.
