Whether you’re traversing rolling hills of the Peak District, exploring the Lake District mountains, or bouncing from bothy to bothy in the Scottish Highlands… the adventurous and ever-dependable Koala is a trustworthy companion.
Koala attaches beneath your saddle to provide you with secure and light storage with an impressive capacity.
Koala is at its most stable when attached to the Exo-Rail, which reduces sway and increases stability. Attachment is quick, simple and secure with a slide-on, slide-off sleeve and stabilising saddle rail strap. If you don’t have an Exo-Rail, you can partner up the saddle rail strap with velcro straps and the handy webbing ladder to attach it without. If you're buying the Exo-Rail and Koala together, head over to our Exo-Rail / Koala 13 bundle for a bit of a saving!
Koala has a pared back design to make it incredibly spacious for its size and weight. Available in 13 L capacity, it’s spot on for packing your bulky, light, and compressible kit when off bikepacking (think sleeping bags and clothing). Koala also comes in 7 L capacity, which is also dropper seat post compatible.
Roll-top closure and compression straps keep your cargo compact and portable and ensure stability when the bag is less full.
When cycling in a downpour, we recommend using a drybag with your Koala for added protection.
"Is it waterproof?"
Although highly weather resistant, this product is not fully waterproof due to its stitched construction. If you are carrying valuables or electronic equipment, make sure to put it in a dry bag.

Product Care Information
Koala has a DWR coating which helps it to repel water and dirt. After your two-wheeled epic, wipe down your Koala with a damp cloth to remove dirt.

Best solution yet
So far so good, keeps the water out and stops the sway. I can fit my 2 man tent in it no problem (13L) I was finding it a bit annoying to remove it when not in use so i made a short exo rail that won't come out past the end of the seat. So now its quick to whip off the exo rail.
Also watch out for clearance when using the dropper. I've heard of a friend that when on a section of single track and the bag got caught in the tyre and ripped under the wheel bending the exo rail!
Very robust saddle bag
Easy to attach! Sway is very minimal, I barely notice it is there, even when it is fully loaded.
Great Product, not so great customer service.
After receiving my Koala 13 seat bag and matching Fuel Pod 22 in Matching Cordura Jaffa I was pleasantly surprised at how good the build quality is on both items... My only disappointment is that they don't do any of the handlebar bags to match, and trying to find out this from customers service team has proved unsuccessful, with no reply to my enquiry through the online form... It does state that they reply to every email?
Get rid of those panniers
If you accept the limitations of bikepacking bags like this then you will be really happy. I found that every hours the straps would loosen and I would have to re-tighten them. I was not using an exo-rail but found this perfectly acceptable. There is a lot of away when climbing out of the saddle, therefore I would recommend the exo-rail if you can fit it. Between the koala 13 litre, a small frame bag and 3 litre handlebar bag I can pack enough kit for a 2 or 3 day self supported trip. Recently just cycled from pencoed in Wales to Worthing over two days and this was a brilliant solution.
Caution with full suspension
Perhaps this bag works well on a hardtail bike. However, I caution using it on a full suspension bike. I exceeded the necessary clearance measurement listed in the description, however any bumps I rode over caused the bag to snack against my rear tire. This jarring, and potentially dangerous. This happened with the additional support of an ExoRail. There are other bags out there I am going to try, and I hope to sell this one on to someone who can use it effectively.
