‘Come rain or shine’. There’s something satisfying about really really meaning it, about waking up in the morning and heading out whatever the weather.
The Colca waterproof gaiters were designed to keep you protected from the elements on those wet days out in the hills. They save your regular trousers from getting a soaking or covered in mud, allowing you to cut down on your washing or pack less for a longer trip.
The 3 layer waterproof and breathable upper keeps your legs dry without overheating, with a tough Cordura lower that reinforces against abrasion. A slightly tapered cut gives a slim fit over your boots to avoid snagging.
Front Velcro closure makes the Colca easy to put on and are held comfortably in place by an alloy tension lock top adjuster, a stainless-steel lace hook, and TPU underfoot strap – bar-tacked for durability. All metal components are corrosion resistant, and if you wear through the underfoot strap we can replace it for you, so you can keep racking up the miles.

The quality of these gaiters seem great up there with the latok's and the crocodile, very hard wearing in gorse and heather and makes stream and Brook crossing simple, it seams to be a great gaiter time will tell but I don't see a problem.
Received my new gaiters yesterday, wore them today on a little 6 mile walk in the Lake District, Did exactly what they were designed to do - fitted brilliantly. Easy to adjust. Well done Alpkit
Alplit Gaitor Review
Bought these gaitors to replace my old ones which were giving up the ghost.
I'm not a huge fan of gaitors as such and only were them when really necessary and so far these gaitors from Alplit have came up trumps! The material is really tough and I think they should last a long time. So far they have taken a fair amount of abuse walking through bog and deep heather.
I think it's fair to say that they are perhaps overkill and a little warm for the summer months and perhaps not as breathable as some others, but for winter- these gaitors will be excellent for walking through the snow in the Scottish hills.
A great product from the Alplit team and worth every penny.
Not as expected
I liked the look of these gaiters and they seemed really well made.
When I put them on to my boot and flexed my foot the hook unhooks it's self from the boot lace , I tried the next lace farther away and happened again.
This has never happened with other gaiters I own.
These have to be the least breathable pair of gaiters I have ever owned. Every time I wear them, when I take them off, the bottoms of my trousers are wet inside the lower part of the gaiter. I have never experienced that with any other gaiters. They have also acquired a small hole despite only being worn for UK hillwalking for a few months.
