Great hat at a great price
Once again well done to Alpkit. This is a great beanie, good looking warm and very comfortable. Got mine in red from the new store in Ambleside and very happy . Love the way it covers my ears and upper neck line for maximum warmth. Some very nice looking kit in store had to resist but now have wish list...
That good I bought another
I bought a bright green one (not sure they do them anymore) I love it and it has been on a few adventures and has served me well and kept me warm in harsh conditions, however my wife and 2 girls think it too bright and don’t like me to wear it when out with them. I have just ordered a nemo so hopefully this will be acceptable. Great hat, from a great company.
Great looking, warm, well fitting, covers the ears and effectively keeps out the wind. Bargain, at half the price of other comparable hats. Good stuff.
It's a hat and it keeps your head mega warm. Awesome.
Toasty warm hat
I love this hat! It was rarely off my head last winter.
The size is decent and cover the ears and the back of the head nicely. The inner fleece head band really keeps heat in and the wind out surprisingly effectively. It will sit nicely under a climbing helmet (Grivel Salamander or Petzl Elios) so it is a great hat for winter climbing or chilly cragging.
Warmthwise, it is great: much warmer than a polartec hat I have or a windbloc beanie.
Finally I really like the design and colour (I got the orange) though my family keep telling me they'd have preferred me to get the blue.
I did fancy a merino or wool hat rather than acrylic but having worn it a lot over winter I'm glad I took the plunge.
