Presta 20 litre rucksack has the capacity to carry your food, drink, a camera, waterproofs and spare layers. Slim, aerodynamic and uncluttered, it’s ideal for fast-paced, day-long adventures whether you’re running, hiking, or biking.
Presta forms to your body for all-day comfort, stability and freedom of movement. The back system has an internal stiffener that protects your back from sharp items and distributes weight evenly, with breathable 3D foam that has venting channels to create airflow. Soft, pliable mesh padded hip fins (dubbed ‘hip huggers’ by the product team) contour to your hips to spread the weight of your gear more evenly. The shoulder straps also use soft and breathable mesh padding and are held in place by the adjustable sternum strap.
Presta features a zipped main compartment with a hydration sleeve (fitting a 3 litre bladder) and hanging loop; hydration port, and zipped valuables pouch. On the outside you have a zipped pocket for clipping your keys and storing maps and topos; rear and side stretch pockets for stashing food and waterproofs, and stowable loops and bungee retainers for your poles or ice axes. Zipped pockets on the hip fins let you keep your essentials within easy reach when you’re on the go.
An emergency whistle and rear light loop help you to stay safe and seen when you’re out and about. With a DWR coating, Presta will also give your stuff a bit of protection against those unexpected showers.

I think I've just found the perfect backpack
I've been a huge fan of Alpkit for a long while, but this is my first review ever, which may tell you how much I am impressed with this backpack. It's the best backpack for its niche (day hikes) that I've ever had, and this is coming for a backpack junkie - I'm not even sure how many backpacks I have. I took it for a day hike, and it fit light down jacket, midweight fleece, leg base layer, gore-tex windproof jacket, winter hat, a bladder with 2 liters of water, one liter thermal food container (very bulky), a bunch of choco pies, two cans of coffee, and there was room to spare! It wasn't particularly light but I never felt it on my back during the entire hike. Most of the weight sit really comfortably on the hip belt. I'm 175 cm and maybe it's just perfect size for my torso, but nevertheless. This backpack is all you need for day hikes pretty much all year round. I've ordered the 30 liter one to do multiday winter hikes, but I think my hunt for a perfect backpack is finally over. Highly recommended!
I bought this to go up Great Gable today for the memorial service and carry all my gear. Really comfortable to wear all day and everything fitted in. You can use a bladder with it so I was carrying 3L bladder, waterproofs, fleece, spare baselayer, camera and food. When it warmed up on the way down my jacket fitted in as well. Loads of pockets and pole storage. Glad I chose this.
I used this recently in Ecuador for Iliniza, Cotopaxi and Chimborazo. Great fit, adjustability, sufficient space for all the gear. The staff at at Alpkit were immediately in touch when the Dutch mail did their usual temporary disappearing act. I really like it. One down side is that it does let through a lot more water than expected when you don’t have a cover.
A good buy
Used for cycling and running. Can get plenty in, variety of storage and holds a bladder. Fits securely and doesn't bounce about. If it's going to rain keep covered or use plastic bag inside. Cheaper than other brands for similar
This pack is so comfortable! I wore it every day for a week hiking in the peaks and hardly knew it was there. Super light and plenty of room for my food, drink, extra layers and waterproofs. I bought it as a replacement for a much heavier (and more expensive) Berghaus and I'm so pleased with my choice. Well done Alpkit!
Well thought out and comfy pack.
Used on a three day pennine bridleway cycle. Fits a three litre bladder no probs. Plus just the right amount of pockets for stashing and great adjustments.
Very useful backpack.
Very good design and capacity for the price. I have used this on several walks and it has enough capacity for food, flask, spare layer of clothing. Useful pockets in and outside. I could do with the hip fins being slightly longer.
