When the cold weather comes, we don’t batten down the hatches and hide away in the comfort of our homes in fear of getting our hand cold and wet. We layer up, put our gloves on and head to the hills.
Pola gloves protect your hands from the cold and wet when you’re hiking and hillwalking. Lightweight, insulated, and grippy, we especially appreciate them when we're using trekking poles out in cold and wet conditions.
Pola’s 80 gsm synthetic insulation gives an excellent balance of warmth to bulk and keeps your hands protected against the cold, with a long cuff that sits inside or outside your jacket sleeve to help your wrists stay warm too. The breathable waterproof insert keeps out the rain for longer and the bemberg lining both adds insulation and wicks moisture away from your skin to retain warmth when your gloves are wet – handy for the uphill slogs when you work up a bit of a sweat!
A simple construction makes the Pola gloves really soft and malleable, with articulated fingers and panelling around the thumb for added dexterity for undoing wet buckles, adjusting your gaiters or doing up zips. The PU leather palm is textured to create friction for better grip when holding your walking poles, and the secure sliplock adjuster lets you get a snug fit. Tough micro ripstop nylon fabric reduce wear winter upon winter.

Love the strap!
These gloves are great! They are warm perhaps a bit too warm for how mild it is this winter so far but exactly what I wanted. But the strap is the most important thing... It keeps the glove from sliding and gives you a better fit!
Water resistant not proof
Unfortunately, I had written a review previously about how I loved the strap but hadn't actually used them. I have just come back from a winter wild camp on Snowdon and the the rain penetrated the gloves in the matter of minutes. Not all bad though as as they were synthetic they kept a lot of warmth . They need redesigning to make them waterproof. I would appreciate it if someone contacted me to discuss what to do about the faulty product?
Ordered these for wet winter walking and colder days in Snowdonia (and beyond) throughout the year.
Unfortunately by halfway up Bristly Ridge water had penetrated the glove and by the time I had reached the top of my first Glyder they were both saturated.
Customer service was fantastic as usual, recommending I submerge them to see if there was a leak. Both gloves started to leak from the fingertips in seconds.
Sending them off to be returned...
Apart from the leaking shenanigans they were mighty comfy and warm, even when damp the synthetic liner stopped my hands from freezing too much.
