Mountain Ghost 300 is well suited to 3 season use where you need the practicality and reassurance of a synthetic bag. Packing down small enough to carry, it is a great choice for summer backpacking, DofE expeditions, river touring or cycle touring.
When you can’t always be sure that you will be able to keep your kit dry synthetic fill sleeping bags offer a degree of reassurance that you just don’t get with standard down bags. Mountain Ghost 300 is filled with Primaloft Silver insulation which hates water, so unlike down sleeping bags they maintain some of their insulating ability when damp. This will give you greater comfort in sustained damp conditions and it will dry more quickly.
Constructed from a soft ripstop polyester that will feel soft against your skin and more comfortable the nylon in warm weather.
The full length YKK zip is protected by a baffle with an antisnag strip. The simple stitch-thru construction and roomy chest girth make it a very practical bag for year-round use in all but the harshest weathers.
Primaloft Silver insulation is a synthetic fibre which create millions of tiny air pockets to trap body heat. It uses water-repellent finish to improve performance in extreme conditions, maintaining its thermal properties even when wet. It’s also easy to care for, packable, breathable, and super soft: mega!

Absolutely bomber gear
I bought a Mountain Ghost 300 in early 2017 to use at a seasonal job for an outdoor ed company where I'd be sleeping outside from April to early October.
Combined with a Dirtbag and a Hunka (and a real pillow, you gotta have some luxuries) this bag kept me warm and comfortable through that entire time.
So basically 6 months of continual usage. Washed a couple of times in a dodgy laundrette (I did use a liner, I'm not an animal). Tonnes of exposure to dirt, smoke and my grubby self in a bushcraft campsite in some British woodlands with limited shower availability.
I've used it on a few shorter trips since then - a week in Fife, overnights outside and in. Basically this bag has been used as hard if not harder than most bags ever see in one lifetime. It's still in basically new condition and is still my primary sleeping bag.
The *only* criticism one could possibly make of it is that it's fairly heavy and bulky - not necessarily my first choice for hiking. But I *have* hiked with it, with minimal complaints. And it fits fairly perfectly in my handlebar bag,
Bought for a bikepacking adventure in BC Canada this September. Trialled it out last night, bivying on the wettest night of summer so far and I slept like a log! Warm cozy and dry (thanks to hunka bag!) It is pretty tapered towards the end of the bag, which doesn't allow much movement, but I personally liked this aspect as it meant for a really cosy snug nights sleep.
Warm and cosy
A very good sleeping bag for a good price!
It kept me warm on my summer holiday in Iceland at temperatures of +- 5°C. Even when i was sleeping out of the tent it resist against the wind.
The sleeping bag was the perfect size for me. I am 1,78M.
And the fabric feels nice against the skin.
The only down sight was for me the zipper.
Sometimes it got stuck in the fabric.
Lovely and toasty
I had a four season down sleeping back from a well known outdoor high street store, it's nowhere near as warm as this three season sleeping bag. I'm on a two year cycle tour at the moment and I'm so pleased that I went for synthetic as although it a bit bulkier and heavier than a down it's so much easier to care for.
