“Welcome to the Hathersage Store: our not-so-little basecamp in the heart of the Peak District where you can kick back, enjoy a brew, read a magazine, rinse the wifi, and browse all our gear. We all spend a lot of our time exploring the peaks, and we’re pretty proud of our flagship store, so we’d be more than thrilled to show you round, share our adventures, and hear about yours! See you soon!”
Ben, Hathersage Store Manager

Ben has worked with Alpkit in our customer service and events teams over the years and now runs our Hathersage store. A freestyle kayaker when he can get out on the water and trad climber and boulderer when he’s at the crag, he’s always up for a midweek wild camp with the dogs too!
Lola’s never far from a pair of trail running shoes and a head torch. When she’s not working she’s planning what to do on her next ‘Adventure Tuesday’ – most often it’s a run, a long walk, or a night in the van with the two Shiba Inus.
Andy climbs, scrambles, runs and generally enjoys moving fast in the hills. He is a bit of a nerd about techy clothing and tents, and gets particularly excited about anything which packs small and light!
Joe is a mountain biker at heart but will make any excuse to get to Snowdonia or Scotland for a few nights adventuring. Whether it’s walking, wildcamping, bikepacking, or bothying he’ll be there with a camera and a grin.
Leigh loves nothing more than a climbing trip to the Swiss Alps. When he can’t get that far afield he can be found walking in the Scottish Highlands - often visiting a few pubs along the way.
Harvey is a keen fell runner who loves nothing more than a wet mucky run in the Peaks. Only the finest of ultralight kit finds its way into his pack, along with a disturbing amount of energy gels!
Amanda spends most of her time running, climbing, getting lost in remote places, and dreaming of van life!
