Cool spring evenings on the hill, crisp autumn mornings at the crag, summer days in the Alps… The outdoors is more than just a hobby
Designed for those crisp Alpine days and fine evening hikes on Kinder, Kraft are insanely comfy organic cotton canvas trousers with technical features that make them perform in the hills.
A natural fibre alternative for active outdoor living that complement nylon tech trousers. Spot on for bouldering, biking, bivvying, mucking about in the woods, or loading the van with bikes for the weekend, they’re durable and comfy.
An articulated fit and gusseted crotch give Kraft mountain trousers unrestricted movement. The fit is roomy enough for all-day use, yet still slim and stretchy enough to boulder and ride: think cooler days or evenings at the crag and fine weather Alpine hikes.
The organic canvas fabric is super comfy, tough against abrasion (ideal for the gritstone), and has a bit of wind resistance for those blustery days. These trousers have passed the ‘foot-next-to-your-face-heel-hook’ test so they’re pretty darn stretchy, and the thicker central rear belt loop is ace for attaching your chalk bag.
A zipped thigh pocket is ideal for stashing your keys or cards so you don’t lose them.

Got a pair of Charcoal Large Kraft trousers just after Christmas; fantastic trousers. Love the Jeans look, comfortable and warm during this cold spell!! Wore them for an hour of Clip n Climb at Wicksteeds, superbly comfortable and stretchy, especially as this 50 year hasn't climbed for years!! best pair of jeans style outdoors trousers I have owned. Maybe khaki and or green colours swell.....Cheers Alpkit
I don't ever want to wear jeans again
I've been waiting for Alpkit to produce something like this, since they discontinued their Jeanius Jeans.
I love them.
I particularly love the 'phone pocket' halfway down the right thigh. This is the right size for modern phones (iPhone X fits just fine) and means that you can get your phone out of your pocket *while you are sat down*. Revelation!
Other pockets are a good size, too.
The 'pre-bent knees', slight elasticity, slim fit and the thinner-than-jeans material makes them good for cycle commuting.
I wear a 34"x32"in Levis and the Large is a perfect fit for me.
Can we have them in a stonewash denim blue, as well please? I want to buy more colours, but can't face wearing red trousers!
Bye, bye jeans!
I bought two pairs (one of each colour) whilst at the Alpkit store in the Peak District. The fit is spot on for me(L = 34w 32l). They have a nice stretch movement and a tapered leg that gives them a flattering slimming look. The material feels strong and they look great. I have worn these most days since purchasing them. They are now my everyday trousers... Bye, bye jeans!
Smaller size would be nice
I'm 177 cm tall and usually 28 - 30in waist. The "small" size are OK on the leg length but rather roomy on the waist, plus the crotch is a bit saggy - please can we have an "XS" size?!?
Otherwise they seem grand, but I think I may send them back given the fit & the fact they're likely to stretch a bit.
Bike, Hike, Like!
Bought for work/bike commuting. A better fit than my Swrve regular cut trousers (a hard act to follow) as they are more roomy up top and have a slightly higher waistband so sit better on the hips Comfort when moving is enhanced by the noticeable stretch in the fabric. The pockets are excellent. Keys do not dig in. My chunky phone fits the leg pocket. The only con, and its a stretch,is that the fabric is a little bit noisy. And more colours please.
The right trousers
Comfy, stretchy pants...deep pockets and seem to be well made.
They do come up large: I'm a 36" waist if I'm being honest, so ordered large, which were massive. I've got a pair in medium now, which fit well.
Superb Pants Overall
Fit - Superb. I wear a size 32 waist X 32 inseam. This pants is perfect on the waist but 2" (5CM?) too long on the length. It's a non-issue for now. I'd say it's on the slightly loser side of the fit.
It's really comfortable to be in - I've worn it twice already, all day long. I can see myself wearing these to bouldering, not sure how they will be for climbing but I'd think these would be comfy. It's over all a really nice pants. I wish these were made in UK.
Good, but odd fit
These are good trousers , but have a quite strange fit. They fit well around the legs and waist but have a really baggy bum. Could do with being a bit longer but for whatever reason all sizes are the same length and only vary waist size.
Nice fabric, but my pair had quite a few loose threads that needed clipping so the stitching could be better.
Not a great fit for me
These were almost great. Nice material and true to size but too baggy round the crotch and bum for everyday wear.
Great Trousers......just need to cater for the tall blokes
I love the material and cut of the Kraft trouser around the waist and leg, definitely a modern successor to the denim jean however......at 6'3, the cut just isn't long enough, even faffing around with the hems. A long leg option would be greatly appreciated.
it a shame there are not more length sizes, because they are well made and very comfy but just - too short for me and I don't have the time (or skill!!) to take down hems etc
