Koulin Trail Tights [Womens]
Technical trail leggings with stash pockets, featuring Polygiene™ odour resistant technology for when excellent wicking and breathability are key
She'd remembered almost everything this time. Almost. Luckily, with Polygiene technology in his Koulin Trail Tights, Karen could get away with forgetting to wash her trail tights for at least another day. (Maybe even two?)
Koulin Trail Tights are high intensity running trousers for endurance mountain sports on the trail, off the trail or even well above the trail. Considered features make these tights our do-anything leggings with styling to ensure you look heroic when you reach your summit.
Polygiene ™ treatment eliminates odours, so you'll be able to wear your Koulin to whizz around the trails until your heart is content.
What is Polygiene?
Wear more, wash less: it’s every busy adventurer’s dream…
We apply Polygiene™ to garments so that they smell less with wear and need washing less between use: ideal for that multi day getaway (and you’re doing your bit for the environment too).
Polygiene ™ is a silver based treatment that we apply during fabric production. The silver chloride prevents the growth of the bacteria that makes your clothes pong without interfering with the skin’s natural bacteria flora, so it’s comfortable and safe next to your skin. Polygiene ™ is bluesign ® approved (meeting the highest environmental standards) and lasts as long as your clothes do, so you’ll never need to reproof them.
The catch? There isn’t one! You can wear this garment day in, day out, and day back in again without causing a stink – winner!

I don’t really like conventional walking trousers so I use these for walking. They are very stretchy and comfy, quick drying and have useful pockets. Mine have been to the summit of Mount Kenya as well as up many a Scottish hill. And they’re cheap! Love them.
These fit really well. I was worried about the leg pockets but they are surprisingly secure
Great all round product. Have used them for hill walking and yoga so far. Really stretchy and comfortable. Handy pockets. Great value for money.
Use them for trail running ❤️
I love these tights. I use them for trail running and can't fault them. They are comfortable and not too thick. The pockets on the legs are an added bonus and unusual in running tights but really handy. They are an excellent price and real value for money. You may need another layer underneath for colder days but generally are perfect for use in the UK. Would gladly recommend them to anyone.
So the description says they were designed for mountain sports, but I bought these as a panic purchase for Glastonbury after the weather forecast and they ended up being THE absolute best festival wear. They were cool and breathable in the sunny weather; kept me dry in the downpouring rain (surprisingly dry!); and were warm and insulating in the cool evenings. They were comfortable and felt exceptionally light. The side pockets and the back zip pocket were the perfect sizes and conveniently placed for easy access to festival essentials. Thank you, Alpkit: I was so impressed at how awesome they were for whatever weather condition and definitely made the experience much more comfortable!
Good features but too short
I really like the design of these tights with the pockets. I think the zips are unnecessary though. Main problem is they are far too short. I’m only 5’7” but these sit somewhere between my usual 3/4 lengths and full tights. Only to be worn with long socks. Will try men’s next time but they’re all sold out.
Comfortable but could be longer
I bought these for running and have generally found them comfortable to wear, being lightweight with plenty of stretch. I would prefer more length - accepting that they are designed to sit above the ankle on longer legs they feel annoyingly in between 3/4 and full length. I've worn them in cold, winter weather and have been warm, verging on over-warm at times.
