Riding through the Utah canyons, rock climbing in Pembroke, unseasonably cold summer camping in Europe, throwing on after pretty much every watersport conceivable… The Katabatic is so comfortable, I’ve even slept in it!
Katabatic is so versatile, that we couldn’t possibly mention all the activities it’s been used for without writing a novel. A combination of toasty yet breathable Primaloft Gold Active Eco insulation, with rustle-free, comfortable, and stylish fabric makes this jacket well-suited to anywhere from an Alpine icefall to the office - (I’m wearing mine right now).
Katabatic was designed with light activity in mind, an air permeable outer boosts breathability. The fabric’s stretch allows a flattering cut, featuring fewer seams and stitching so that the fabric can move with you.
Thoughtful features, such as a simple hood, hand warmer pockets, and a chest pocket make the Katabatic a jacket that you’ll never be without.

Have just taken this up to Scotland for 2 weeks camping and winter munro walking. Excellent jacket which replaces my old thick fleece. Lightweight, warm, comfy hood and fits as described in the measurements. Wore it with just a t-shirt and a rucksack climbing hills and was impressed by the breathability, also holds up well to a moderate wind. With the addition of a waterproof shell you're ready to tackle anything!
Great Jacket with 1 fault
A brilliant jacket but why no double ended zip? It is nice and long so if I am out on my bike I will pull the bottom of the hem and zip ending up with a rip or worse a broken zip. Otherwise it is great and will be in constant use for hikes and everything else but biking.
