Bobbing along the Mawddach Estuary, paddling up to the Pont d’Arc… These activities come naturally to us, but are a little alien to our smart phones…
HydraWallit is a floating waterproof pouch for your phone that is submersible to 2 metres (IPX8 certified), ideal for protecting your phone from the weather and the dirt whether you’re paddling, swimming, snorkelling, biking or hiking.
Air cushions on the back of the HydraWallit give impact protection and bucket loads of buoyancy, keeping your phone bobbing along the water’s surface so that you don’t have to worry about it sinking into the deep.
HydraWallit is large enough for a 7 inch screen (6 x 3.25 in), with a bit of space to slip in your credit cards, ID or cash too. The clear plastic window allows touch screen functionality even with wet hands (although it is far more responsive when your hands are dry) so you can use your phone without exposing it to the elements. We’ve left the top corner of the back transparent so that you can keep capturing your adventures on camera too.

OK, though small.
Firstly, I think this comes up a bit small. My phone (a OnePlus 3), is by no means a giant among Android phones, but it was a fairly tight fit in this case. The seal is a heavy duty ziploc instead of a roll top closure, so you have to be very careful to seal it up correctly. Once inside I can use my phone normally, except of course for the fingerprint reader.
The case comes with a lanyard. The instructions are a little inconsistent and read as if they have been copped from something else and not properly proof-read. For example it says that the hydra does not float.
Overall, I think it is a reasonable product for the price, but not outstanding.
