Hiking under Alpine summer skies, battling the lethargy on a stifling day in the slate quarries, climbing in the Verdon Gorge… The outdoors is more than just a passion.

Werk are incredibly comfy organic cotton canvas shorts with technical qualities that make them perform on the hill, whether you’re hiking the Ben or biking Offa’s.

Werk shorts were designed for outdoor living and are a natural fibre alternative to synthetic tech shorts. The organic canvas fabric is super comfy and tough against abrasion, ideal for bouldering, biking, bivvying, hiking up to the mountain refuge…

A touch of spandex in the fabric lets the Werk short move with you, not against you and the gusseted crotch gives you even more room to move unrestricted. These shorts have passed the ‘get-your-foot-improbably-high-to-avoid-that-rubbish-foothold’ test, so they’re pretty darn stretchy.

The thicker central belt loop at the back is ace for attaching your chalk bag. A hidden zipped pocket inside your front pocket is ideal for stashing a bit of cash or your keys

Functional and good looking

These shorts are great, really well designed so they give you freedom of movement without being baggy or frumpy. I feel badass in these shorts. More women's clothes should take a leaf out of this kind of design.
It has proper pockets too - my phone goes all the way in!
