We like the unknown: we like the mystique of it, the capacity for spontaneous exploits. But dressing for the unknown is difficult. Will it be too sweaty for cotton? Is it too hot for merino? Will you look like a right numpty sat in the pub in a super technical base layer? With the Picu Tee though, we think we might just have all bases covered.
Made from high-performance drirelease® fabric, the Picu Tee is a lightweight moisture-wicking t-shirt that feels as nice next to the skin as your favourite worn-to-death cotton number. We wanted a t-shirt that would be as comfortable to wear on hard climbs, sunny bike tours and trekking overseas as it would down at the bar, cafe or pizzeria after a hard day’s activity.
The drirelease® fabric blends moisture-attracting fibres which draw sweat away with moisture repelling ones that allow for easy evaporation. This material blend of recycled polyester and organic cotton also dries 4x quicker than standard 100% cotton - pretty handy on longer trips when you’ll have to wash your smelly kit through a few times.
The relaxed styling tee has a crew neck and articulated sleeves which provide complete freedom of movement when combined with the tee’s natural stretch. The Picu Tee - not just active wear, but reactive wear... all bases covered.
- drirelease® fabric technology wicks sweat away for easy evaporation
- Blended fabric dries 4x faster than 100% cotton
- Articulated sleeves and stretch properties for complete freedom of movement
- Subtle logo in environmentally friendly water-based print
- Recycled polyester and organic cotton blend
- 3 Year Alpine Bond

Comfy in hot and cool conditions and not too jazzy!
A nice solid t shirt with good wicking fabric. I’ve been looking for a t shirt that wasn’t merino and didn’t look too sporty and this fits the bill. Worn in full sun carrying a backpack full of overnight bivvying gear and didn’t bring sweaty back like Justin Timberlake. Nice and warm during cool evenings too. Logos are nice and subtle, so don’t feel like a walking advertisement when in the pub or office.
Just a weird shape!
This review comes from a place of love. I have lots of Alpkit gear - a bike, multiple jackets, sleeping bags, first aid kits, and I love it all. I had been looking for a t-shirt like this for some time. I don't love shiny bright red and blue outdoor gear. I'm outdoors a lot so I want to look good. This ticked all my boxes. Organic cotton and recycled polyester satisfied my environmental values and I loved the understated styling - I ordered one straight from Alpkit's email. Sadly, the fit is terrible. The torso is too baggy, the shoulders too tight ands the neck is comically large (maybe to fit it over a helmet???). The quality feels great and maybe it's me that's a weird shape and everyone else will love it, but I thought the neck looked a bit big on the website. Love the idea Alpkit, let's see more like this, only better please! Love you.xxx
