At a glance
- Fast and aggressive titanium 29er hardtail trail bike frame
- Stiff, durable, and comfortable 3Al 2.5V Aeronautical grade titanium tubing
- 66/74 head and seat angles eat up climbs and descents
The Signal is fast, it’s for flat out speed.
It pedals like an XC bike, descends like an enduro bike, and captures the rawness of riding a hardtail on fast, flowy singletrack. Stand up, sprint, and ride it hard on groomed descents at Llandegla and Glentress or take it to the big mountains and get loose.
That low BB and long wheelbase gives a planted and stable feel through the corners and on high speed descents, the low stack height leaves you with less of that ‘tall’ 29er feeling – you’ll feel like you’re in the bike, not on the bike.
Big wheels roll faster. The 29 in wheels can be paired with 2.2 to 2.6ins tyres with clearance for winter conditions.
The titanium Signal frame is stiff, light and durable. 3Al 2.5V Aeronautical grade titanium tubing softens trail buzz and provides the engaging and lively feel that only Titanium can.
2.6” tyre clearance
Bucketloads of clearance for 2.6” tyres gives you the benefits of higher volume tyres without getting clogged up in UK conditions.
Aggressive trail geometry
Neil has designed the Signal Ti to suit his aggressive riding style. A low bottom bracket makes it corner like its on rails, a spacious reach gives you room to move around on the bike, and the 66/74 head and seat angles give you the confidence to bomb the descents and while still being able to climb like a mountain goat.
Guided internal cable routing
Guided internally routed cables for a clean look and silent ride.
Nothing looks quite so good as the famously resilient and durable titanium. Signal Ti’s aeronautical grade titanium tubing absorbs shock to soften the ride without any loss to feel or speed.
We can customise any aspect of our Ti bikes. Come to us with what you want and Neil will make it happen.

It is important to get the right size bike, if the bike fits it will be faster, more comfortable, and easier to handle. You can also take into consideration the standover height to ensure you pick a bike that will be a good fit. If you measure your inside leg and ensure there is a minimum of an inch from the toptube to your crotch this will give you enough seatpost adjustment to find your optimum saddle height.

Thoughts after 6 months
I built up an xl after demoing one from hathersage. At 6'1 I'd have been comfortable on a large but wanted to try a long reach. I can fit a 150mm dropper but little room to spare. I weighed the frame when it arrived and it was closer to 2.3kg rather than the 2.1kg quoted on the website. I can't imagine weights would fluctuate by up to 200g, so the advertised weight seems a little misleading. However, this is still a light frame. It was nice to build up, internal routing is easy. I used a 35mm stem which keeps it from feeling too long and stretched out. In short, it's extremely fast and stable. It climbs very well despite the length and slack head angle. It's very comfortable, even when descending the rough stuff. You don't need to use a 2.6 on the rear for comfort, 2.4 is fine. At first I liked it, then it felt better every ride. Now after 6 months and lots of riding in the peak, I can say it's as good as I'd hoped a 1k frame would be. The 10 year warranty is reassuring too!
I'm running a custom built Signal Ti with Fox 36s with 160mm travel. Initially I had 140mm travel but I wanted to try the longer forks.
The BB is still low enough and it only on the steepest technical climbs the front wanders a bit. It is easily handled with some fore-after body positioning...
Otherwise very neat frame, great quality and very intuitive handling.
As a former reviewer stated - modern but not crazy geometry.
Just a very very good mountainbike!
What’ a bike ! It’s fast up, across and down! It’s the best bike I’ve ever owned that includes full suspension bikes. The frame is beautiful to look at and really well made. I ride mine mainly in South Wales on natural abs man made trails and it excels on both. Compared to other brands this is a total bargain too. Just be prepared for lots of attention wherever you go! Press buy!
So Much Fun!!!
I don't normally do reviews on products but felt I needed to on this occasion.
My previous hardtail was a orange clockwork 129 2018, it was a medium size and was on point regarding geomerty, 67ha, 620tt, 74st and 450 chain stays, I found the bike was stable but a little long and I couldn't get the wheel up easily like I could on my Ibis HD3 so I started in look into why this might be. After taking advice I decided to look at a short chainstay 29er, their are lots avaliable but decided I wanted a Ti bike again due to the comfort factor (48yrs old).
I bought the bike blind (medium 5ft 8) after reding reviews and boy am I glad I did, I have built it up with some pretty high end kit (hope wheels/stem, carbon cranks/bars, pike rct3 130mm sram 1x12) I went for my first ride today to FOD bike park and absolutly killed it, the bike was fast, nimble, handled amazingly on the ups and downs and was easy to get the wheel up on the drop-offs. what amazed me is that I wasnt much slower on the downhills as I would be on my Ibis HD3.
If you are after a fun, well made, aggressive (not overly) and modern HT in Ti take a look at the Sonder Signal, its a excellent bike at a very good price.
Well made frame, good weight, easy to build up.
I’ve only ever had 2 bikes that just felt right — this is one of them. As fast as my old XC hard tail, leaves that behind when the going gets rough.
So good i bought it on the spot
Tested it at Ambelside and was amazed that someone has been able to design a small 29er that works. I didnt get any toe overlap and had standover room and it was still responsive and fast.
Bought one immediatly and will be building a fast bikepacking spec. Thrilled.
A Signal of Intent.
The best all-round trail hardtail I've ever ridden.
It climbs effortlessly with lifting or wandering.
It descends with its pants on fire.
The Ti is super comfortable on rough terrain.
Perfectly poised and balanced.
Buy one now, it's a ripper
