Sonder Camino Alloy prototypes have arrived

As soon as we had got our hands on the Camino Ti we set to work on the Alloy variant

The first proto's of the Sonder Camino constructed from hand welded T6061 Aluminium are here.

Just like the Sonder Camino Ti this bike shares the DNA of a cyclocross, gravel and adventure race bike, but the geometry has been relaxed for long day comfort. The wheelbase has been lengthened and the head tube raised so there's less strain on your back.  Flared or standard drop bars offer multiple riding positions without affecting speed. Camino Alloy is designed to get you out there exploring the world. Whether meandering along the dusty trails of California or racing for the finish of Tuscany Trail, we wanted this bike to share the exhilarating mix of speed and versatility of the Camino Ti at a slightly more accessible price point.

Using the very latest components that maximise trickle-down technology builds will include SRAM Apex and Rival 1x groupsets and hydraulic brakes. Cycle tourers will be pleased to hear that rear rack mounts and front/back mud-guard mounts will come as standard.

Neil has already started to build up the prototypes and we will have one on show at next weeks London Outddor / cycle show. We are planning to have complete bikes available to pre-order from Easter 2015 for early summer delivery with pricing between £649 and £999.
