Transmitter: aggressive 650b hardtail mountain bike for taking on trails guns blazing; Snowdon on a sunny Autumn day or the Colorado singletrack. Yet, you can still whip around Cannock Chase on a Sunday afternoon with great agility.
A flattened top tube gives vertical compliance but lateral stiffness; an all mountain bike that gives the stability of a fat-bike shrunk in the wash with the nimbleness of a trail bike.
Boost 148 and 100, external bolted cable solutions, integrated headsets, through-axle hubs, formed butted smooth-welded tubing gives precise handling.
Vertical compliance and lateral stiffness
The strikingly flattened top tube is the spoonful of black magic we need to make the frameset both rigid and forgiving in all the right places. Stable yet nimble, the geometry has been tweaked to give a spirited ride.
Hand welded 6061-T6 triple butted frameset
Not all tubes are equal, Transmitter uses tube walls of different thicknesses to get material where it is needed and save weight where it isn’t.
Dropper seatpost ready
The Transmitter frame is compatible with a dropper seatpost so even the most sheepish riders can tackle those steep sections head on like a pro.
Tapered head tube
Whoever would choose to be a head tube? You might as well step into the ring with Mike Tyson. This is a critical junction point where force is distributed around the frame and steering precision is won or lost. Transmitter has a wide tapered head tube to house your internal bearings, distributing force more evenly whilst improving steering over broken terrain.
Transmitter is designed around the new Boost standard and corresponding 52 mm chainline for better steering stiffness and increased wheel support.
Chain guide ready
Transmitter can be fitted with a chain guide. (ISCG 05 compatible).
Transmitter is designed to run with 650b+ tyres at both ends.

|The Transmitter frame is suited to a low profile 2.8” tyre or aggressive 2.6” tyres, some larger 2.8”s may rub the chainstays in use|
It is important to get the right size bike, if the bike fits it will be faster, more comfortable, and easier to handle. You can also take into consideration the standover height to ensure you pick a bike that will be a good fit. If you measure your inside leg and ensure there is a minimum of an inch from the toptube to your crotch this will give you enough seatpost adjustment to find your optimum saddle height.

Fantastisk trail cykel
Helt fantastisk trail cykel. Den kan sendes gennem næsten hvad som helst med fuld gas. Jeg tror ikke man kan få en federe hardtail og prisen er absolut rimelig.
Superb hardtail, thats agile, responsive & forgiving over long distances
Having been a Specialized owner for several years, I succumbed to adopting a 650b+ bike after riding my Husband’s Sonder Transmitter (despite it being too big for me, I had an awesome time at Cannock Chase).
Used this excellent bike for the 2016 Rat Race The Crossing in July 2016. My Husband and I both had Sonder Transmitters (he had a Medium frame Transmitter SRAM GX1 Pike) on this adventure race and we were told that these were the first 650b+ bikes (of any make) to participate in the event since its inception.
I’m so impressed with the speed both on and off road (as a 70 mile day weaved and traversed over tarmac, rutted grasslands, thick mud, through thickly forested singletrack, climb loose gravel track and descending steep rocky trails). Handling the majority of sections with such ease that I could speed past those thin wheeled 27.5/29inch bikes with simplicity. Alpkit has done an amazing job on these bikes, as many “The Crossing” participants suffered mechanical issues, even countless more had tire issues, as we hammered the 200 mile, 3 day event across 3 National Parks. Our Transmitters had no issues whatsoever. 27.5+ is the way to go.
What was intriguing is the number of fellow participants who tested our Transmitters during the event. They were blown away with both bikes. Even the event mechnics where in awe. Some of these testers had high spec £5k full suspension bikes!
Alpkit had also lent me a beta test of their new womens specific seat. Another fantastic product especially compared to the mens seat (on my Husband’s Sonder)
