SkyeHigh 900 Long Hydrophobic down sleeping bag
-11ºC limit 4 season sleeping bag weighing 1460 g with Nikwax Hydrophobic duck down; ideal for Scottish winters, trekking Kilimanjaro, and Everest base camp
From mountain to forest to valley floor… So much world to explore, so many possibilities, is there really one sleeping bag to suit them all? Maybe not, but the SkyeHigh sure comes close…
Classic and versatile, SkyeHigh was designed to loft its way effortlessly into almost any situation, using 650+ IDFB fill power duck down to balance weight and bulk-size with comfort, warmth, and value.
With 900g of Hydrophobic Nikwax down, SkyeHigh 900 is ideal for 4 season use, whether you’re halfway up Oberrothorn to catch the Alpine sunrise, or on the valley floor before a day on Ben Macdui.
A comfortably spacious cut gives a natural night’s sleep. Box-wall horizontal baffles with trapezoid side baffles prevent down migration, minimizing heat loss; adjustable head closure and draft collar lets you snuggle down to fend off the drafts.
Wonderfully compressible, the SkyeHigh packs down small and light enough to fit in your pack.
NIKWAX HYDROPHOBIC DOWN
Nikwax Hydrophobic is a water repellent treatment that makes down less susceptible to humid conditions, staying lofted for longer and prolonging the overall lifespan of your down.
RESPONSIBLE DOWN STANDARD
We use only RDS certified down; all our down is audited by a third party to ensure that it comes from birds who are not live-plucked, force-fed, or mistreated. That’s good to know.

Absolutely love this bag!
I'm a big chap, 6ft 4in, built like a rugby player, so sleeping bags are a pain for me. Never long enough and very tight across my chest. I have now spent a week in Yorkshire over new year and a long weekend in Kent when the temp dropped right down to -7.
So weight first, I can't beleave how small this bag packs down, and it's light enough not to even notice in a full pack. Once it's spread out it soon lofts up and after a cold day working is a delight to climb into. Very nice material and it warmed me up fast and kept me comfortable all night.
I have got used to very tight bags, I hate them but resigned myself to it being unavoidable, well not any more, this bag is huge, has plenty of space to move around and roll round if your a fidgety sleeper like me.
The zips have never caught or stuck ( my pet hate) what more can I say, another great product from alpkit.
Tried and Tested - Great Bag
I’m 6ft 6in and have always struggled to fit in a “normal” sized sleeping bag. I needed a good quality sleeping bag in a long size that could deal with low temps for a trip abroad. A friend recommended I look at Alpkit and I’m glad I did.
The sleeping bag performed excellently! I used the bag for 3 weeks solid hiking to and around Annapurna Base Camp (4130m) in Nepal. I was warm every single night even when the temp dropped to -10 on a couple of occasions at higher altitudes.
There were no droughts round the neck or from the zip. The zip didn’t snag the hole trip and it didn’t lose any down. The quality of the bag is good. Solid stitching and nice material.
The bag compacts down to a good size and is light which was must for our trip.
In short great sleeping back that I would recommend to anyone (especially at the price it is being sold at).
