By far the best I’ve had....
Love these waterproof trousers. So soft and comfortable, you forget you are wearing them , unlike others which crackle and pop every time you move. Performance outstanding. Definitely recommend these. Also amazing price.
Worn these all day and hardly notice them. Light, soft and quiet.
Beware the men's sizes are a tad small
I've worn these in blizzards, gales and prolonged torrential rain and they've always been 100% reliable and comfortable. They are so light and quiet you wouldn't know you're wearing them except for the fact that you're toasty warm and bone dry in the worst of conditions. Yes, the side zips could be slightly longer but totally forgivable at this price and level of performance.
Does the Job
Nice fit, very light and compact and I'm not sweaty when I'm pedalling and it's raining
Light, good fit and breathable
I love these. They live in my handbag/ day pack because they're small and light enough to carry around with me all the time. They're so quiet, comfortable and breathable that you can forget you're wearing waterproofs and the neat cut means they aren't flappy. They've kept me bone dry so far and I haven't overheated either. Highly recommended.
So far they've held up to everything from DofE expeditions to munro bagging in the pouring rain.
They're the best fit I've had in outdoor trousers in a long time. very light weight and tiny pack size compared to previous waterproof trousers. Would definitely recommend!
I really like the cut of these trousers, there is no excess materiel around the legs to flap in the wind - no more CoCo the Clown. They are lightweight, non-rustly and slightly stretchy. Rain hasn't penetrated yet and I hope they're hard wearing, time will tell. The only negative is zip length. The zips go up to the knees but this is not long enough to get them over boots. Otherwise the best pair of waterproof overtrousers I have bought.
Great if you have them on all day
These trousers are a lovely cut, they are light and feel nice when you're walking in them, you don't overheat. But...I can't get them on over my boots. The zip needs to be another inch or two longer, or better yet...full length. If I start out the day with them on it's perfect but if it starts raining and I have to put them on, it's a total faff taking my boots off and trying not to get soaked. Love alpkit gear and will continue to use these, they're just not 100%
Would be perfect except.....
Totally agree these are very, very, good waterproof trousers, good fit, 100% waterproof - I've now used them many times in all sorts of rain
But, Alpkit you've let yourselves down on this one..... the zip is just not long enough, who the heck wants to have to take off their walking boots, balance on one leg, usually holding onto the nearest rock/tree/person/dog whilst the rain is threatening to soak your legs, and feet too boot, before you can even struggle get these on?
Why do this? Love Alpkit used you for many years and many products... you just got this wrong. Hope you can make a bit of a design change and then the whole family will buy them.
Still love you mind Keep up the great work! xxx
No use for cycling
Bit dissapointed in these, as even after 10 minutes of cycling I am wet across the bum from road spray.
As I bought these primarily for cycling, snowBoarding and guide camp where I will be in contact with wet surfaces they arnt suitable for me.
