Designed in a classic timeless style, Mirage sunglasses enable you to get out and chase the sun, days out on the hill, survive winter glare and hot summer days. As they're cheap, it's less of an issue when you accidentally sit on them on your first adventure.
Their lightweight and durable design make Mirage well-suited to everyday use. The frame is made from TR90 - an incredibly durable, light and flexible thermoplastic – made to contour your face for a comfy, airy and unobtrusive fit. All the while, the discrete grippy nose pads stop them from going anywhere they shouldn’t. The polycarbonate lenses with category 3 UV protection give great clarity, and have a hard coating to help prevent scratches and are impact tested for good measure.

Perfect outdoor sunglasses
I've often struggled to find comfortable outdoorsy sunglasses that fit well (petite, 5ft1 female). These sunglasses, however, are absolutely perfect.
I do a lot of hill/fell running and trail running and have worn the Mirage sunglasses loads this year, both on and off the hills, without any problems. I also wore them during a 100km ultra marathon from the start line until it got dark. That was on the 29th of June – which was a scorcher. It didn’t matter how much I perspired, whether I was running downhill, how much sunscreen I slathered on, these sunglasses stayed put on my face, not moving at all. I can also forget that they are there as they’re so light and comfortable.
Another massive bonus is that they are so, so, so cheap in comparison to other sunglasses in the outdoor market.
My partner (6ft11, stocky male), also a runner who did the 100km Ultra with me, has bought a pair. He is as happy with them as I am.
lightweight but no pouch
I've had a lot of Alpkit sunglasses over the years, mainly because as they point out, they're cheap enough that if you lose them or scratch them it's no big deal. However even though these Mirage are really nice and light on my face, they don't come with the usual Alpkit pouch to offer some protection when they're in my bag or car glovebox. Disappointing
