Despite wearing the Keeshond on the ski-slopes or at the crag all-day, you won't want to take it off when you stop for a hot chocolate on the way home. Luckily, it's breathable, comfy and treated with Polygiene to keep the pongs at bay, so you won't have to…
Keeshond fleece was designed for all-out comfort and warmth, whether you wear it as an outer layer on a cold, dry day on the slopes or layered under a shell at a blustery crag.
A combination of high loft and gridded fleece keeps you warm and cosy without leaving you in a sweaty mess the moment your activity levels pick up.
The high loft fleece has an open weave and ‘fluffy’ fibres that trap pockets of air to keep you well insulated (with a high warmth-to-weight ratio), give you plenty of ventilation, and let excess moisture escape too.
Meanwhile, panels of gridded fleece under your arms and down your sides give you less insulation where you need less insulation so you that don’t overheat.
Low profile gridded fleece cuffs make the Keeshond comfortable when layered under a windshell or waterproof. Thumb loops prevent cold spots on your wrists, sealing out the cold when you’re wearing gloves and holding the sleeve in place when you’re reaching for that next hold. Drop-in pockets are ideal for burying your hands in to warm them up.
Its tall collar with high loft fleece lining keeps you snug against the draughts.
Finally, that zipped chest pocket is handy for stashing your lift pass, keys, or change for a Gluhwein on the way home.
Whether you're brewing in a Baltic bothy, out on the hill for a cold crisp walk, or looking for a serious dose of warmth after an icy plunge in wild waters, the Keeshond will keep you warm.

The most versatile piece of clothing I own, I almost never take it off.
It somehow manages to be super comfortable, warm and breathable all at once.
The polygeine tech is also great, I've worn this for weeks on end climbing and walking and it barely smelt.
Amazing bit of gear, go get yourself one, you won't regret it.
Cant take it off, and my wife says it needs a wash
I love this fleece and want another but they have sold out!
A very warm comfortable and close fitting fleece. I am a 6ft slim bloke and the medium fits me perfectly. Gone halfies with my sister for the blue in a large for my dads birthday as he really liked mine. Quick free delivery
This fleece is great. As mentioned by others, it is a sporty fit so size up if you want it to be a little baggy. I personally really like the fitted shape of the jacket and would rather have it this way when using it for exercise. The quality feels superb, and the high loft fleece looks and feels identical to polartec versions found in other more expensive branded fleeces. For those worried that the price will match quality, don't. Appkit is the real deal.
Awesome toasty fleece
As mentioned below this fleece is exceptionally warm for its weight and is, and I hate to use the word though nothing else describes it better, snuggly.
It is a little bulky under layers due to the loft of the fleece especially round the waist pockets where there is a double layer of material but it really comes into its own worn as a outer layer, either for casual use (I've worn mine almost daily since I bought it back in October) or for dry conditions. I am wary of describing any fleece as windproof but the shagginess of this keeps an impressive amount of wind out, especially considering how open weave the fleece is. This certainly adds to the breathability where it lets sweat through to outer layers impressively.
As mentioned by another reviewer, I had to go up a size from my usual medium to get a good fit. (medium would have been a good "technical" fit but I wanted a little more room)
All in all, this is a superb mid layer at a great price. I love mine!
Brilliant fleece; Brilliant Alpkit!
I thought I would take a chance on Alpkit and this fleece. Wow - so pleased I did! I live in this fleece and cannot imagine how I ever managed without it. It's so good I shared the secret with my wife and now she has one. We are starting to build our own Alpkit collection!!
Keeshond Jacket (men’s)
I have bought many fleeces over the years but this one is by far the best. It is incredibly warm and looks good to wear on any occasion. I bought it for the golf course but it far too good to stuff into the bottom of my bag. This is a brilliant fleece that I cannot recommend highly enough.
Warm, comfortable, breathable, looks great!
Is this the perfect fleece layer? Worn extensively since I bought it and it has proved warm when needed, breathable and surprisingly wind-proof. The fit is good for an athletic frame with enough length to the waist and arms. I have a slight reservation about the strength of those thumb loops, but they are good so far! A really great piece of clothing!
Had this fleece for about a month and I’m glad it has the polygiene tech because I’ve only taken it off to go to bed. Really good bit of kit. The sizing is spot on and for the price it’s bob on.
worn this a few times out now much warmer than expected as a mid layer definitely for really cold day. As a outer layer let’s more air thru than standard fleeces so very breathable all in all impressed
Brought this fleece last Friday and must say am very impressed with it. Nice, Warm and the fit is perfect. Would be good if the colour range was expanded but it is now my fleece of choice whilst out on the fells.
It's just so warm and snuggly. I can actually feel the warmth from the fleece when I put it on - it's almost like wearing a primaloft or down jacket! It's stretchy and comfortable to wear - just a not of warning: I've had other brand shaggy jackets and they kind of fletten down under a car seatbelt over time. Hopefully won't happen with this. Only 4 stars as I found the sizing a bit odd. I am normally an XL in Alpkit as I'm not a skinny climber-type but XL was a bit too neat. XXL fits nicely with a bit of room. Top fleece and fits in nicely with all the other Alpkit stuff I have!
