Fuel Pod Large top tube bike bag
A simple zip closure bag, with quick and easy access for storage of trail mix, fuel gels, puncture repair kit, cameras, GPS units and tools.
We have added a discrete hole with a VELCRO® Brand closure at the front of the bag to allow you to easily pass cables through to your gadgets, battery or dynamo.
Made from the same bombproof VX21 fabric used throughout our bike luggage range, and attached to the bike with our adjustable webbing ladder VELCRO® Brand attachments it makes for a very handy pack for keeping everything right in front of you.
Fuel Pod comes with a large easy grip zip puller and finger tab to make it easier to zip with gloved hands - you will appreciate that come winter!
The pod has minimal interference with your movements or the bike’s steering: we leave ours attached permanently to the bike, that way you never forgot those little essentials.
Dimension Polyant fabric and YKK water resistant zippers make a very weatherproof combination but we do not guarantee these bags are waterproof as the seams are not sealed. On a long ride water may eventually seep through the zip and the seams and keeping anything that absolutely must stay dry in a lightweight drybag such as an Airlok is good practice.

Great fuel pod from ALPKIT
Despite this pod being large enough to (for example) fit a big anker charger along with a small gas canister, my handy alkip kraku and other assorted goodies, you barely even notice it's there! Maybe it's my skinny legs but don't most cyclists have skinny legs?! The build quality is top notch, i've had it out in the rain and despite appkit reminding us that this isn't one of their waterproof ones it stands up to the weather fine! The amount of different positions to choose to attach the straps is great for finding the right spot for keeping the thing tight on your bike - very satisfying when you find that sweet spot! All in all a great product, thanks ALPKIT!
Fuel Pod Large
The volume and quality are very much as I expected. The 3 velcro straps give you a lot of different positions to fix the pod to your top tube and steerer tube. An extra elastic can also be used to further stabilise the pod, but I don't have any room above the stem so I can't really use that. That might be part of the problem I have with the pod, namely the back of it moves a little sideways and when I'm a climbing standing up the pod hits my knees (actually my knees hit the pod) especially on my singlespeed. No problem for regular riding, nor I guess for fatbikes. The pod is very light and doesn't have any stiffness or structure, so the more you fill it the more this will occur. I'm going to keep on trying to find better ways to attach it to the bike to improve stability. If you're doubting I think the medium pod should be better being smaller. But still a very useful pod that for now is staying on my bike. Oh and the orange is really flashy!
