Fuel Pod 25 top tube bag
1.5 L lightweight top tube-mounted accessory bag for bikepacking, with cable port for keeping your bits and bobs to hand; UK-made to last
When all you want to do is ride, you need a partner who’s ready when you are, who slides into step with minimal interference, and who keeps your kit safe but has it to hand the moment you need it. Or failing that, you need a Fuel Pod.
Fuel Pod is a stable and lightweight top tube bikepacking bag that sits securely on your top tube to keep your stuff within reach whilst riding. With zip closure and a front facing cable port, it's ideal for storing that dynamo cable, your light battery, or those gloves you want to access without grinding to a halt.
A YKK Aquaguard zip and large glow-in-the-dark zip puller gives one-handed access to your phone, light battery, and snacks - even with gloves on.
Constructed from lightweight and abrasion resistant fabrics, Fuel Pod is made to endure the demands of your two-wheeled epics without giving you a weight penalty. Like all our UK-made bike packing luggage, it’s backed up by our 25-year Alpine Bond warranty.
The velcro steerer strap is sewn into the seams for longevity and can be cut to size to fit neatly below you stem. Grippy Hypalon tabs attach to your top tube with the velcro straps provided.
"Is it waterproof?"
Although highly weather resistant, this product is not fully waterproof due to its stitched construction. If you are carrying valuables or electronic equipment, make sure to put it in a dry bag.

Great quality as with everything UK made by Alpkit. Ideal for some snacks or for a battery for a bike light on those winter night rides.
Jolly usefull storage solution.
I've been using one of these for nearly a year now, sitting on the toptube of my Vir Fortis..
Build quality is good, nicely padded inside with a usefully sized glove friendly zipper pull. It also cleans up well under the tap, just as well really as it gets splashed with the Peaks District's finest mud. Its pretty waterproof as well. Webbing straps and velcro tape hold it in place pretty securely, but it can wobble a bit if it isn't tightened in place.
Great for my camera, food, phone, spare gloves and anything else that I might want to access without taking off my Camelbak.
The only downside is that my knees hit it if I'm not carefull.
Great fuel pod from ALPKIT
Despite this pod being large enough to (for example) fit a big anker charger along with a small gas canister, my handy alkip kraku and other assorted goodies, you barely even notice it's there! Maybe it's my skinny legs but don't most cyclists have skinny legs?! The build quality is top notch, i've had it out in the rain and despite appkit reminding us that this isn't one of their waterproof ones it stands up to the weather fine! The amount of different positions to choose to attach the straps is great for finding the right spot for keeping the thing tight on your bike - very satisfying when you find that sweet spot! All in all a great product, thanks ALPKIT!
the front facing cable port sucks. Especially when it rains. My top tube on my MTB runs downwards so the cable port facing upwards. A great way for the rain to enter the bag. Version 2.0 should use another place for the port. Or it should have an overlap or a velcro to close the hole.
Fuel Pod Large
The volume and quality are very much as I expected. The 3 velcro straps give you a lot of different positions to fix the pod to your top tube and steerer tube. An extra elastic can also be used to further stabilise the pod, but I don't have any room above the stem so I can't really use that. That might be part of the problem I have with the pod, namely the back of it moves a little sideways and when I'm a climbing standing up the pod hits my knees (actually my knees hit the pod) especially on my singlespeed. No problem for regular riding, nor I guess for fatbikes. The pod is very light and doesn't have any stiffness or structure, so the more you fill it the more this will occur. I'm going to keep on trying to find better ways to attach it to the bike to improve stability. If you're doubting I think the medium pod should be better being smaller. But still a very useful pod that for now is staying on my bike. Oh and the orange is really flashy!
The bag frayed after its first outing due to poor velcro design. When mentioned to Alpkit I was met with an unhelpful staff and no refund or return available. Disappointing when I bought £200 worth of bike bags and was promoting their brand on Instagram. Lost the love for the brand after how this issue was handled.
Chris contacted us as his bag had picked up some cosmetic damage in use. We cannot offer refunds for wear and tear but in this case we did offer a partial refund or alternative straps which were both declined. - Alpkit
