Based upon our El Packer wall bag, this simple duffle style rucksack is designed to carry loads without fuss.
The thermo-formed back panel, shoulder straps and 38 mm webbing waist belt provide comfort when carrying heavy items, stopping bulging items like a climbing rack from digging into your back. A webbing loop extends over the top of the pack for tying down a rope or jacket to the outside of the sack. Each El Burro pack has a simple roll-top lid with an internal zipped document pocket for your keys, wallet or passport. Once rolled down the top is clipped down either side of the pack giving slim, streamlined lines. The easy access offerred by the roll-top makes El Burro ideal when you are at the base of the crag and moving on to the next route.
To make El Burro even more practical there are 3 daisy chain ribbons bartacked along the sides for clipping in stuff. All essential seams are bartacked for strength because that's just how we do things in our UK factory! Manufactured from 550D Cordura, El Burro is tough and durable.
El Burro is made in our UK Factory and can be customised to your needs. Contact customer support with your requirements.

Great for multi use.
Great bag, rolls down to be a rather small backpack or can be filled to max, without feeling uncomfortable. Highly recommend.
Sturdy & simple not the most comfortable
I use this bag for carrying my climbing gear down to the crag. It’s very sturdy and can swallow the perfect amount of kit and rolls down if you don’t have so much with you.
For the price you can’t complain. It’s great for shorter walk ins but if youre walking fully loaded for more than 30mins then it does start to get uncomfortable. Then again more comfortable bags are double the price.
Faff free tough as nails
I bought this pack when they first came out since then it's been to Scotland, Vietnam, all over the peak district the lakes Snowdonia and deepest darkest Hull. It's very simple very easy to use and very robust no chance of dropping your wrack in and your nut key making a new hole in this thing it's build to last. Room on the outside for some krabs or gear and a good rope strap on top. My favourite pack so far and I have loads
Perfect for Adventures and Dadventures
Cannot recommend this bag enough. Comfy, roomy and bombproof. I've used it for hiking, weekends away, carrying the weekly shop home, carting piles of books home to mark from school, carrying all the 'necessary' kit a toddler demands on days out and even for throwing into trees to knock down the very best conkers. It's never let me down - buy one, you won't regret it!
El Burro - a simple easy design with no faff, a nice fit on my back and a comfortable carry, with the stiff material and fixed foam backpad the sac is not floppy when not fully loaded. will buy another now after some kind soul liked it to and removed from my tent.
This pack I have used for several day trips and a longer journey of a touristy nature in India. The closure is super-secure yet the wide neck makes for easy loading. I expect to cram into it kit, including a lightweight tent, for overnight trips in the coming months. Almost a perfect solution for a variety of uses. I'll give it 5 stars for simple and effective design and sturdy construction.
I thought I have found the best versatile, the lightest bag for my outdoors activities, but...
• it's not waterproof, despite what it is clearly said in the video and what you expect from a rucksack for outdoors especially in U.K.
• it doesn't really stays flat on your back unless is full of stuff so if you carry little it is a bit uncomfortable however very light indeed.
I returned it and I will definitely buy it again only if the material used is replaced by a waterproof one.
