Wanted: Customer Support Sales Hero

As one of Alpkit’s 5 obsessions, customer support is placed at the heart of Alpkit operations - are you passionate about creating exceptional customer experience?
This hero is the voice of Alpkit and loves engaging with our customers and hearing about their stories. They are warm and relatable and speak enthusiastically and knowledgeably about our products – they aren’t afraid to ask the customer questions to work out the best product for their needs. They’re a pro at making tea or coffee and making the customer feel part of the family.
Hours: 24 hours per week 9.00 – 17.30 including Saturday with 1/2 hr paid breaks during the day and 1/2 hr unpaid lunch.
Location: Work is based at our HQ in Nottingham. However, the work on Saturdays can be conducted from our Hathersage store if preferred.
Pay: Dependent on experience.
1. Help grow our community that loves and connects with the world's wild places
2. Share passion and expertise for outdoor products with our customers
Providing fast, accurate, personal responses to customer emails, live chats and phone calls
Chatting with customers in the Alpkit Showroom
Update and maintain accuracy of online information
Interact with Alpkit social networks
Working with our order management and payment systems to place and amend orders
Work with Content Team to ensure customer queries are handled in the web content, store POS
Work with Buying Team to ensure communication of stock requests & maintaining up to date info of incoming products and new stock
Keeps up to date with product development
Keeps immersed in industry updates to ensure the team are up to date with latest updates
Works with store teams to ensure consistency of knowledge & service across locations
Works with factory to process to custom orders
Works with Marketing Team to ensure showroom is up to date in presentation of products and campaigns
Use website & social media to share the great work and customer experiences
Strong technical understanding of outdoor products and their use
Computer literate with ability to use Word, Excel, & Mac based apps
Fluent in written and spoken English
Excellent organisation and time management skills
Nice but not required:
Experience using Khaos Control software
Fluency in additional languages, especially French, Italian, Spanish or German
Confident and optimistic
Passionate about outdoor products and enjoy talking about them
Flexibility to pick up work in other areas of Customer Support when busy
Affinity towards Alpkit ethos and products
Motivated to develop skills, knowledge and role
Enjoy being part of a team
Self-starter / problem solver
Strong attention to detail
