Manorbrook Primary School in Thornbury are the latest to receive funding from the Alpkit Foundation. They would like their staff members to become Forest School trained. Through the combination of outdoor learning and indoor teaching, this project will explore the benefits for children, as child-led learners in life long skills.

Jodie explains why she would like to become the schools Forest School Leader. “Forest School would make a big difference to the children at school. I currently teach a high proportion of children with communication delay and disorders. Practical opportunities and experiences would support them in their communication with each other and help them develop and talk in a meaningful way.  Unfortunately, school does not have the funds available to support this project.”

The Alpkit Foundation is providing funding to help Jodie undertake her Forest School training.
