Very practical

Bought this at the beginning of last summer and it was a constant companion on the hills. Weighs very little and packs small but makes a big difference when the wind blows chill or there are showers/low mist etc. How about a gilet version Alpkit?

You want a pair of tights that you can wear for 6 days on the hoof running along the Pennine way? You want a pair of tights that let you keep 600kcal of trail mix in your left thigh pocket, a spare buff and bodyglide in the other thigh pocket? A pair of tights that have a zipped pocket for camera and phone? Tights that dry quickly below the knee?

These have it all. Probably the best bit of kit that I took on the Spine Race. Peanuts too.

I was told that lightweight waterproofs wouldn't survive the Spine Race. Well these did, and they were bloody brilliant.

6 days, 268 miles through rain, sleet, snow, and river crossings. These deliver in buckets.

The trim fit cuts back on drag and the material gives just a bit of stretch making them super comfy for running and walking.

The ankle zip goes just high enough to get gaiters/boots (UK13) through without too much faff and the Velcro closures stop the flapping.

These have been through some crap in the last week and the zips and closures are still working perfectly. A bit of absolute top end kit.

My new favourite possession

I just purchased the Pipedream 600 2017 model sleeping bag last week and I am in love with it. I have only had the chance to use it twice but they were a good test of the bag. It kept me super cosy and warm over the weekend in a bothy in icy conditions and another night camping where there was a lot of dampness in the tent. Both situations the sleeping bag performed even better than I had hoped. It is very light and, although not as small as the Pipedream 400, it packs down to a impressively small size which makes carrying it easy. It comes with one small compression sack and a larger storage sack. It feels high quality and really cosy. I can't wait to sleep in it again! Features such as the insulation behind the zip and the fitted neck piece are a brilliant design. Thank you alpkit!

great MTB backpack

Bought this for mountain biking in Torridon. Hard to beat. Its light, comfy, waterproof and roomy.

A good liner option!

I used this last night in -2C as an extra liner inside a 3-season bag. Being February, I needed to beef up my go to sleeping bag (PHD Minim 400) without buying a completely new 4-season bag. Using this as a liner quilt works very well and it adds a season. The press studs allowed me to enclose my body warmth inside effectively and they didn't pop open during the night.

I am very tall (6ft 4), and the cover did not span the length of my body. I don't mind this - actually I am used to gear heightism, so I used a down jacket for my top half as I normally do and thick socks for my toes.

I also looked at the point-5 quilt by Alpkit, but I think this is more versatile due to it being able to be laid out flat like a proper quilt. If used alone the extra long draw strings could be used to tie under a sleeping mat, meaning you have a fixed down layer over you that is non-restrictive.

I am not sure how much warmth it would give on its own. Perhaps only suitable for very warm summer's night, or indoors use. But certainly an ideal solution as a liner inside another bag during Winter.

What can I say?

Have worn this midlayer over and over again. I am 1.6m size 10 and I love it, it fits perfect, is warm but let's you work hard. It seems to be odour free and it washes well and dries quickly. What can I say? I have ordered a second since they are on special offer......Get in there quick ladies I would recommend!

Ordos 2 - one hell of a tent!

This tent is possibly the finest there is out there. It's very light which, when taking one on an adventure race, is very important. The real plus point, though, for a tent so light is that it's so roomy inside. The framework is common sense all over with steep sides and loads of foot space. In fact, I was so impressed with the first one I bought that I picked up a second for the kids to sleep in while we were all away on a family cycle tour.
Congratulations to the designer.

Quality Jacket

I bought the Heiko at the beginning of January (2017) as I've been looking for a winter jacket. It was my first outing in the Peak District this year. With temperatures touching -3 degrees and a wind chill factor of -10 this jacket performed brilliantly. With just a base layer and a micro fleece underneath it kept the icy wind and cold out and I was comfortably warm. With its lightweight and compact material its well worth every penny.
I highly recommend this product to anyone, It's a Quality Jacket.

Awesome !!!!!!

Bought these for my fell running. What a brilliant bit of kit. I have a more expensive pair which cost me around £100 and don't even compare. If you want good value for money running glasses or just really cool looking glasses I recommend you buy these while they're in stock. You'll not be disappointed.

WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best head torch I've ever owned. I have a much more expensive one and the light is very poor compared to the Gamma. Very lightweight and easily fits into the palm of your hand if you ever need to take it off your head and carry it. One major plus with the Gamma is a red LED light on the back which you can have on permanent or flash. More expensive makes with a light on the back will cost you around £60 upwards and I am being generous. I highly recommend this head torch. Best price and Alpkit's customer service is second to none. Well done Alpkit!!! Keep up the good work.

Great warm jacket. Enjoy a little bit of luxury

Having toyed with the idea of getting one for a good while, a clearance sale finally gave me the opportunity to sample one of these lovely jackets. I spent 7 or 8 months in a folding camper during the week and this was most welcome on cooler evenings or when you had to nip out in the early morning or middle of the night. It's comfy, nicely articulated and insulates well. Also, it was more robust than I'd thought it might be and hasn't had any scuffs or wear marks or unralelling stitching yet. Stray feathers yes, but that can't be helped. Having had the stitching fail in a SkyeHigh, I was a little wary, but there have been no problems in almost 3 years, so I'm more than happy.

Love this backpack

I walked the Camino de Santiago with this backpack last year, and it was brilliant. Super lightweight, and I never had to worry about putting on a rain cover. There were many envious walkers!

I see they've added some mesh side pockets to the design now, which is excellent, as I previously found carrying water the only drawback. I'll be ordering another!

Kraku stove , myti mug 400 ando 650 , Alpkit titanium folding fork and spoon , small swiss army knife. All fits together , Small and compact and comes ski touring with me every week. Can't recommend enough.

This has been used on three bikepacking wild camps so far with various combos of kit packed into it.. This has included:
British army bivi bag, Exped synmat winterlite LW,lightweight down jacket, inflatable pillow.
DD hammock, and suspension straps/carabiners,Exped mat, above jacket and pillow.
DD jura2 sleeping bag by itself.
Make sure the available strap crossover under the saddle rails to prevent sway. All in all, a great seatpack.

Fantastic trousers, technical AND smart!

These are my favourite trousers. Good cut, with enough room in the thigh; they stretch well without going baggy. High cut at the back to minimise drafts when bending etc during activity. The DWR coating works well - and is still working after several washes in soap solution. Enough room in the ankle for a winter walking boot but without flapping. In addition they are smart enough to wear out for a pint in the pub after a day in the outdoors! Very happy with purchase.

Bloody Brilliant

Lightweight. Warm. Great fit. Stylish. What more do you want?

Gamma ll headtorch

My new ALPKIT gamma ll headtorch arrived just now and I love it .Not only was it great price it has all the the features I wanted in a headtorch including the all important rear red led which is essentiall for the obvious reasons and the green or red night lights brilliant

Great Coat!

Very well designed jacket. Outer fabric seems much more durable than other insulated jackets I've owned and tried. Tried tnf, rab, me, etc. None the design features of this! It's very warm as you'd expect, and the cut allows unrestricted movement. I'm 6'2" 15 stone and the xl fits perfectly.
My third alpkit product and still extremely impressed with products and service!

Flipping Amazing

Bought this jacket as a Christmas present for myself, well no one else was going too. Firstly, the fit is perfect. I'm a small and I'm using this for mountain biking and hiking and it's nice and snug, so no flapping which is just how I like it. The blue is an amazing colour, like really amazing, like really, really amazing. Love the hood, proper old school fit so it fits properly and snugly. My last jacket (B'haus) had a fancy hood design and it was pants so it's nice to have a draw cord at the back and two at the sides. Works beautifully. Finally, and this may sound weird it feels amazing, kinda soft. So love this jacket so much. Actually like it that much I've just bought another for mountain biking and using this for hiking, traveling, living in. Thanks Alpkit I love you :o)
