RocFest 2015

Tom Newman enjoys second place at this years super-comp Rocfest 2015

Well done to Alpkit athlete Tom Newman who was runner up at this years RocFest bouldering comp at Rock Over Climbing in Manchester.

Tom was typically dismissive in assesing his chances of reaching the final, however his protein shakes must be doing him good as he qualified 6th in a very tightly contested semi that took some big scalps. The final was even tighter and it wasnt until the final problem that the places were decided.

There were some other great performances from young Nottingham based climbers. Billy Ridal - still showing great form after his ascent of Carless Torque - just missed out on the semis, Flo Tilley made her first RocFest final and Joe Czubkowski took first in the 14-15 Male.

As this was all going on we had a small stand displaying our range of Roca Ropes and new Alien Evolution Cams.
