NITro North 2015

10k off road night event for runners who want a little bit more adventure

Our Gamma headtorch has been finding a little piece of the night running scene over the last couple of winters, whether thats for races or for putting in the training miles. With our lighting range expanding again this year then we should have more offerings to help people carry on through the darker hours. Well with all this lighting we needed an excuse to use it and so we are delighted to be getting involved with a small grass roots series of night running events, NITro. Kicking off with NITro North in a couple of weeks. We shall then be supporting them into next winter, so get your runners on and start training.

NITro North takes place on the 7th March and is organised by thisonecounts.  Based in the Clywd Forest, Llanferres, it offers up a tough and adventurous run with a mix of wide fire tracks, narrow single forest track, steep climbs and fast descents.

"NITro North is a 10km trail run - in the dark, this is real, pure adventure at its best!

The route is tough, but we never offer up an easy race. A combination of woodland, single track and forest running will test your reserve and wits and being dark it just gets tougher! You could get muddy, you will need a light and have no fear.

Are you up for this raw challenge of the senses?

You will be rewarded with a genuine unforgettable experience - courage will set you free. Run it, walk it, do it by yourself or as part of a team"
