Alpkit Foundation: We’re Looking for an Awards Trustee!

We're looking for an awards trustee to join our small group of trustees that run Alpkit Foundation

Alpkit Foundation Needs You!

Our awards trustee lets people know the outcome of their application and gets the necessary details together to make the award. It takes approximately 8 hours a month to manage our awards and also to look after the Alpkit Foundation email inbox.

We have approximately 7 trustee meetings a year held every other month with a separate annual review meeting. Meetings are usually the last Wednesday of January, March, May, July, September and November at an appropriate pub or venue near Matlock from 6.30pm to 9pm. The annual review is usually held in June.

Work tends to be busiest in the two weeks following each meeting. The position would suit someone with the time available to volunteer for the Alpkit Foundation. Work does not have to be done during regular office hours though some employers allow staff members additional leave to do voluntary work with charities (please check with your employer if you are unsure).

It would be useful for our awards trustee to be familiar with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and Sharepoint) and have a great eye for detail to successfully administer our awards and maintain awards records.

The trustee group comprises the four directors of Alpkit, two Alpkit staff trustees, a Customer Trustee and an Independent Trustee. All trustee roles are voluntary.

If you'd like to apply then please send your CV along with a covering letter to akf@alpkit.com by Friday 8 November 2019.

About the Alpkit Foundation

We are the charity that helps people to Go Nice Places, Do Good Things.

1% of Alpkit sales go towards supporting individuals and direct action projects. So far we’ve awarded over £200,000 to more than 560 projects. We’re incredibly proud to see the effect that these small steps can make. Our support takes the form of direct action by giving our financial support, publicity, advice or resource to help projects get off the ground. We love to support projects that champion education, participation, environment, diversity and health.
