Preview

Spend a day with a peak district national park ranger visiting white peak dales

Suitability: Appropriate for those able to do an 8 mile day walk. Minimum age is 8yrs, under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.

This 8 mile walk leisurely taken from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm Saturday will take in the fantastic scenery of Monsal Dale and Cressbrook Dale, it will visit the viewpoints of Wardlow Hay Cop and Longstone Moor so there is some up hill walking - but how else would you get those spectacular views?

This area has a huge diversity of wildlife and heritage, the ranger will be stopping to point out some of these along the way and will explain a little about how the National Park is managed.

Walkers will need to be reasonably fit, suitably equipped and have food and drink for the day. The plan is to stop and eat a packed lunch and then take a break later on for a brew...
