BSO Guyrope Gourmet Cookery School
Join the Guyrope Gourmet and become a campsite cooking Jedi
Having a hard time convincing your friends or family to eat with you on your next camping trip? Fed up with surviving on plates of bland pasta or stodgy goo? You don't need to take that flack anymore, put some spice in your campsite cookery by taking part in the Guyrope Gourmet Cookery School at the Big Shakeout.
Pull your apron on because campsite cooking expert Josh Sutton aka the Guyrope Gourmet will guide you through some of his yummy and nutritious recipies showing that you can eat well, even away from the luxury of your own kitchen and its modern utensils. All equipment and ingredients will be provided, you just need some enthusiasm and an empty stomach! Invite your friends and family along to watch and prove to them that you have what it takes to put irresistable food on the table.
But it's not only about the food; Josh sings as well as being an accomplished illustrator and author so put aside all memories of stuffy Home Economics classes and get ready to be entertained on your journey to Jedi cooking status.
Josh will be running sessions over the weekend:
Saturday Morning Brunch
Got the nibbles after your early bird ride along the Monsal Trail? Josh will get you cooking up some tasty tapas with bruschetta and a crispy salad.
Saturday Afternoon Filler
Leave your dehydrated food at home, Josh will be showing you how to cook up a tasty Moroccan stew with spicy cous cous (plus a variation for vegetarians).
Sunday Morning Start Up
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and a stale croissant is not going to fuel your family's adventures. What better reason to wake up knowing you are going to be cooking up a tasty Monty Zoomer (see photos) for you and your family.
Josh is sponsored by Outwell who have very kindly agreed to provide free goodies to all participants.
You can also get a flavour of Josh's cooking by picking up a copy of his Camping Cookbook.
