Matlock’s Hottest Export

Getting your feet moving at the Big Shakeout 2017: local trio with a reputation for glittered guitar riffs and basslines that bite.

Straight out of the peaceful town of Matlock in the Peak District, and all the way to the Big Shakeout Foundation Stage, comes the infectious sound of Patawawa.

Hailed as Matlock's hottest export, Patawawa are making a name for themselves on the festival scene, gaining support from the likes of The Guardian and BBC Introducing.

Writing, recording and mastering their own tracks in a tiny room under a staircase, the trio have crafted a sound that stays true to the roots of disco and funk, adding a touch of Derbyshire cheekiness to create their own unique brand of Nu-Disco.

With a mission to get listeners up on the dancefloor, they'll be down at the Big Shakeout to get you throwing shapes left, right and centre.

The countdown has started for the Big Shakeout 2017, so if your dance moves need a little dusting off, you’d better tune into Patawawa’s Soundcloud and get practicing.

Keep your eye on the Big Shakeout News for announcements, line-ups, and super-hilarious puns.
