Music Line-Up Announced

With 4 weeks to go, the long-awaited live music line-up for the Big Shakeout Festival has been revealed! Magic!

You've all be waiting super patiently to find out what music you'll be dancing to at the Big Shakeout Festival, so you'll be pleased to hear that we've just announced a bucket load of live acts for Friday and Saturday night, including headliners K.O.G. and the Zongo Brigade and Toffees.

K.O.G and the Zongo Brigade will be  filling our ears with a bucket load of funk as headliners on the Foundation Stage on Saturday night. A Sheffield-based 9 piece, they deliver a wall of jazzy sound in the form of their unique brand of energy-fused African music. Dubbed as Afro-fusion: they take reggae, afrobeat, funk and soul and brew it up with influences from every corner of the world. No question, they are guaranteed to get your feet moving!

Friday’s headliner is Holy Moly and the Crackers, a 7-piece folk rock band who made a name for themselves back in 2012 with their debut album, First Avenue. They have since gone from strength to strength, touring the UK and the continent, and building a flock of followers who are drawn to their highly danceable, reggae twists on traditional folk and blues. They’ll be making a stop at the Big Shakeout Foundation stage on Friday Night to entertain us all with their moonshine mix of rock, pop, folk, blues, Balkan, klezma, ska, reggae… (the list goes on!)

Finally, bringing the evening to a rockin' and rollin' close at the Fire Stage will be Tom McCartney. With the sole purpose of getting you moving, shaking and boogieing on down, he'll be bringing out his set of bluesy, country and rocky originals and covers, with influences from Muddy Waters, Johnn Cash, Buddy Guy and Junior Wells - among others.

K.O.G and the Zongo Brigade, Toffees, and Tom McCartney will be joined on the stage by a variety of vibrant and unique acts from the length and breadth of the UK, sought out by our dedicated talent scouts. To find out who else is on the line up, visit the Big Shakeout Music page.
