Music is the bounding heart beat of the Big Shakeout. With two stages and two nights of tunes our talent scouts have lined up a treat thats so exciting we barely concentrate on anything else
K.O.G. & The Zongo Brigade
9-piece infectious West African vibes from Ghana via Sheffield, with diverse origins conflating to whip up their signature mix of afrobeat, soul, funk and reggae, otherwise dubbed “Afro-fusion”. With the leadership of K.O.G, the Ghanaian born force of nature, they are a whirlwind of energy, rhythm and hard hitting musical unity. Summer 2015 saw them play the breadth of the UK festival circuit including Glastonbury.
Indie Folk Vibes to touch the Heart, the Soul and those dancing feet!
The Buffalo Skinners
A songwriting collective from Sheffield, their music stems from a shared passion for songwriting and singing in harmony. Kieran Thorpe plays Fender Rhodes Keyboard, James Nicholls the Violin, Peter Seccombe the Guitar, Miles Stapleton the Drums and Robbie Thompson, Bass. The band draw influence from 60’s Rock n Roll, Folk, Blues and whatever else they’ve been listening to recently.
Rudy Warman & The Heavy Weather
Rudy Warman & The Heavy Weather are an original band from Southern England. Everything they do is homemade creating a style of music that people seem to love .... including us. Featuring Rudy Warman on guitar and vocals, Shane Warman on bass and Zenon Warman on drums.

The Leeds-based singer-songwriter echoes great blues masters such as Bukka White and Blind Willie McTell but also American folk and country artists. Raised in the English folk tradition, Sam also draws heavily on English, Irish and Scottish folk music.
Scrogans Run are Kendal based singer-songwriters Wayne Scurrah and Paddy Rogan. A blend of banjo, guitars and vocal harmonies with thought provoking lyrics, they mix traditional influences with their own original bluegrass and folk inspired style. Great for a dance or a listen, their character, melody, rhythm and flow will draw you in.
Where Fires Are
Adrenaline-fuelled, emotionally charged Alternative Rock. They are a family, a support system, a punchline, an excuse and a purpose. And we welcome Where Fires Are to the Big Shakeout
After Hours Quintet
The After Hours are a 21st century anomoly; a collective of lovable rogues hellbent on redefining live dance music.
A stripped back acoustic two piece with beautiful lyrics that strike a chord in the heart of all who listen. Glastonbury Emerging Talent Longlisters & featured in Louder Than War's 'Top 50 bands to look out for in 2015'.
Award-winning singer/songwriter Rob Reynolds has performed with the likes of Midge Ure, Errol Brown, Hazel O’Connor, China Crisis, Big Joe Turner, Arthur Lee, and Love, Pete Wylie, Procul Harem, Paul Carrack, Christy Hennessey, Glen Tilbrook, Hugh Cornwell and Amos Lee. He plays acoustic, electric guitar, slide guitar, lap steel, Dobro steel guitar and Harmonica.
