There's three days of great music coming your way in 2016 with an evening of bands to welcome you in the Marquee on Friday. On Saturday we have a full line up of bands in the marquee and around the campfire.

We're still booking bands for the 2016 Shakeout and will confirm acts closer to the time.

In the meantime, as a reminder, here are the artists that made 2015 such a memorable year.

Ade Payne

Inspired by bands/Artists such as Bruce Springsteen, Keith Urban, Bryan Adams, Paul McCartney, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Lee Brice, Lynyrd Skynyrd, – Ade continues to find the inspiration for his music from a broad spectrum of recording artists, both old and new

A genre busting mix of sweet stunning vocal harmonies over funky blissed out grooves; punctuated by echoing banjo, guitar, shimmering mandolins, spooky brass and keyboards. “Rocking Harmonic Psychedelic Sci-fi folk-all in one band……”

The Holcombe Family String Band

Are a Leeds based band influenced by the ragtime, hot jazz, hokum and western swing of the 1920's, 30's and 40's. Taking something steeped in the past and highlighting the perpetual relevance of a music often thought of as primitive or archaic.

Cardboard Fox

Are hard to categorise. All four musicians have roots in bluegrass music but their collective influences reach much further and this shows in their music. This is a group of musicians who are very, very excited about what this line up can create and that's what makes this acoustic quartet so special. With a focus on original writing and re-imagined folk songs taken from a very different perspective, this band is not to be missed.

Stand Out Riot

An elite 7-piece ska-punk-hardcore-gypsy horde from Manchester, UK since 2004. Combining the power of 3 horns, a violin and heaps of vocals, neatly balanced on top of a skanky, moshy, punky rhythm section; SOR create sounds that are guaranteed to make you jump out of your seat, straight onto the dancefloor. Known for their intensely energetic live shows, and dynamic studio output, Stand Out Riot pack 110% into every millisecond of every song, every time.

The Seniors

Indie/Folk band creating musical vibes to touch the heart, the soul and the dancing feet!!

Dear America

4 piece Punk Rock, Indie band based in Manchester. Melodic yet aggressive vocals blended with powerful guitar melodies with a fair few lyrics about whiskey thrown in for good measure.

The Brandy Thieves

Formed through a simple internet add, The Brandy Thieves are a bunch of lost souls who finally found each other in the Midlands of England. Described as Gypsy Punk with Soul, a sound which is uniquely their own. Very much a lyric driven band, the Thieves present their listeners with macabre folk tales, twisted stories of love and loss and jaded social commentary.

Tim Loud

“A treat for the ears and his stage presence is phenomenal... definitely something to keep an eye on" Emma Banks- Big Cheese.

12-string driven, harmonica-blowing, country/blues wailing anti-folk from Leeds. Since the release of his eponymous debut EP in Late 2012 Tim has been gigging and touring both on a national and international level building a strong fan base with his live show.

Big Safari

Rock and roll from the music machine that is Liverpool. Big Safari give us some quirky jangle-pop influenced rock with zappa-esque rhythms and an addictive combination of creamy vocals overlaying slick distorted guitar lines

Seen as a hidden gem of the Leeds queer music scene, Demitaves are a powerful pop trio that combine luscious harmonies with dynamic and refreshingly original songs! Described as being like “Crosby, Stills and Nash at their best”, Demitaves are influenced mainly by folk music but embody many characteristics of house music within their style. The chemistry that is created by the three song-writers and their unforgettable voices has been enough to captivate audiences all across Yorkshire, they are not to be missed.

Arms and Hearts
