Be a Shakeout Shaker MakerBe a Shaker Maker volunteer at the Big Shakeout festival
Get involved with the Big Shakeout by volunteering to be a Shaker Maker.
Shaker Makers are part of the small team that make the Big Shakeout what it is by making sure the cogs of the festival keep turning.
What do Shaker Makers do?
Shaker Makers are on duty for around 7 hours over the whole festival weekend, leaving you loads of time to enjoy the bands, talks, films, and activities.
Duties include welcoming people on site, stewarding in the main tent, help with litter picking, or working in the bar or cafe. If you're fully licensed to drive a 17 seater minibus with MiDAS training, you might even be helping cut down on car travel and drop take people to/from activities and Grindleford station.
What do I get out of being a Shaker Maker?
As a Shaker Maker, you'll get a free festival ticket, one free meal per shift and a free SofA course (subject to availability) - as well as the sheer joy of knowing that you've helped festival-goers to have an unforgettable experience, of course.
Where do I sign up?
