Stone Cold Crazy
13 / 05 / 07One for our Italian faithfull, the 3rd edition of Stone Cold Crazy is a chance to discover a new area of boulders close to Lake Como.
The event is organised by Paolo Zorloni. Paolo has been influencial in discovering and developing some of the more hidden bouldering areas around Lecco and Como. Infact for an area known for its limestone it will come as a surprise to many to learn there are granite and serpentine boulders hidden away on wooded hillsides.
This 3rd edition will take place at the newly discovered area of Magreglio (1100m) in the region of Como. The event is informal and you don’t need to be an 8A climber to get a taste of the action. Many of the lines on the circuit of 14 blocs have been kindly left untouched by Paolo and his fellow explorers.
The meeting will cumulate on a virgin bloc on which participants are invited to open as many new routes as possible. There will be prizes supplied by Sherpa and Alpkit, so don’t be shy pull on those shoes and get cranking.
It is free to enter, but by sending Paolo an email in advance you will help give an idea of expected numbers. More information, including topos of the area can be found at LarioBloc
