Christmas Shopping

Please do not leave it until the last minute before placing your orders. Although we can send items by various ‘guaranteed’ delivery services we all know that at this time of year things can go wrong. We recommend placing your orders early to beat the Christmas post, however if you are the type who likes to live on the edge here are the last postal dates, and our opening times over Christmas and New Year.

Update: Your ordered still hasn’t arrived
As always orders placed before 2pm Monday to Friday get sent out the same day. If you didn’t pay for the guaranteed next day delivery as described on our shipping guide the chances are we posted it by Royal Mail First Class recorded delivery. We are unable to track these deliveries until your postie has actually tried to deliver it. Although most orders sent by this service are delivered next day in extreme cases it can be up to 15 days. Unfortunately extreme cases are much more likely at this time of year.

Friday 19th - Last UK postal dates
Get your order in before 2pm for the standard Alpkit service. Most of these orders will go by Royal Mail First Class Recorded Post, which although not a guaranteed service has a good chance of getting to you. Larger or more bulky items will go by CityLink courier.

If you want to guarantee a delivery we can upgrade you to Special Delivery or Courier for an additional charge. Given the tight deadlines in very rare circumstances we may be out of stock on an item, if this is the case we’ll call you straight away and offer any alternatives we can. Enter the shipping address correctly with as much information as possible. Guaranteed deliveries will require a signature so please ensure some one will be available at the address you have asked to be sent to receive the goodies. See our shipping information.

Monday 22nd - We’ll be packing orders all the orders received over the weekend… however unless you have called us and asked for your goodies to be sent on a guaranteed next day service there is a very good chance your order will not reach you in time for Christmas.

Tuesday 23rd - Last UK Guaranteed service
Orders placed on Tuesday have little chance of being delivered in time for Christmas unless they go with a Guaranteed service such as Royal Mail Special Delivery or Courier. We ask you to place your order by phone so we can make sure it will go out. See our shipping information.

We will be officially closed from 24th December until 5th of January. Like you we have lots of nice stuff we would like to do. However we will be popping in from time to time so we will do our best to offer email support and of course you can still place your orders online!
