Hi Mildrid, I think I just replied in full to your email, but in summary my gut feeling is that you would be better going for the PD600 but I know nothing of your experience. Hopefully the email explains why in more detail. Feel free to contact support if you have more questions.
oh yes and is there a guarantee on the sleeping bags?? thanks
Hi I was looking at the specifications for all the sleeping bags available here. and i am a little confused about the comfort ratings on the bags. for eg. you say a bag has a comfort rating of -3 degrees celcius but it doesnt tell me what is the extreme temperature for that bag? I am specifically interested in the pipedream 400 and 600 and those of the skyhigh range as well. I am looking to camp in temperatures of -5 degrees celcius (so does this mean the pipedream 400 is not sufficient??????) thanks
This is a £250-300 sleeping bag without the marketing, shop and sales staff. High quality and superb customer care.
Love it. Can’t say much more really. Proof that sometimes less is more.
At a mere 5’6” I need a shorter pipe dream 400 sleeping bag. Can you supply?
yes - OMM next year. Found the old ME Annapurna (1.35kg !) jsut a little too much for my old knees to carry this year - and too warm.
Will the 250 model be “long”?
BTW - used Wee Airic on OMM, much appreciated!
Hi Peter
At 6’3” it will be to tight for you, at some point we will get round to doing them in shorter and longer length but at the moment we havent got a time scale. Factories hate making them as it counts a different product line.
Lighter models - yes we have 250 model with a simpler hood design in the works.
OMM havent we just missed that, or do you mean for next year.
Any plans for longer and shorter PD400 ?
I’m 6’ 3” so the existing model probably too tight. Other half is 5’ 6” so a shorter one would be good.
& did I read somewhere on the site you are planning even ligher models next year?
Can you give an approx date? Ready for the OMM maybe?
My Pipedream 400 kept me very warm when camping in Scotland’s cold valleys in May and October, and I sleep very cold. We also experienced torrential rain for four consecutive days in which the outer shell of the bag got wet but dried out quickly, I didn’t notice it in my sleep. Also, for larger people the bag is very comfy, more roomy than it looks on the photo. A very good investment and a lovely night’s sleep.
