1. Monksey strap top! - Because I always climb in it! (Ed: yeah right Ashleigh, so we found the only photo where you are not wearing it!)
2. May Bee t-shirt! - Because I climb in that when it’s cooler.
3. Fat Airic mat and 700 sleeping bag! - Because they make camping so much warmer and more comfortable!

Significant or memorable achievements:
1. Walk in to Ceuse! - That has to be the toughest thing I have done as yet.
2. Not To Be Taken Away - First highball boulder I did.

2. I am looking for a hard route in the Peak as a project but I haven’t decided on one yet.

Late 2008/ early 2009 I intend to go on a gap year. I shall be travelling all over and specifically intend to visit some highly recommended crags in places suce as Krabi- Thailand; Yosemite- U.S.A.; Kalymnos - Greece; plus many other places across America, Asia and Australia.

Interested in french literature and vegetarian sushi.

Ice Ice Baby?

Now, I realise that striclty speaking this does not constitute as part of my climbing experiences, however, I shall continue. Earlier today I had my first snowboarding lesson. I enjoyed it so much I think that I may quit climbing and take up snowboarding more avidly. Only kidding. Nonetheless, I had great fun. I was taught only the basics of tying your feet on to the board, falling over, going down a slope backwards with front breaks, and some directional boarding. I got the hang of tying my feet up straight away. Falling over properly I could do in theory, but in practice it was a little trickier.

Skymasters and more

Well, I arrived at the Outdoor Show 2008 a bit later than the rest of the Alpkit group because I had to go to college on the Friday morning. When I got there Beth met me at the gate to give me my exhibitor pass which had a lovely passport photo on it. Oh the joy.

Once I got into the show, at about 4.00p.m. I was desperate to see the Skymasters course on which I was going to be competing. When I saw the course suspended from the enormous roof of the National Exhibition Centre, I actually thought that it wasn’t as large as I had been expecting. Then I noticed the tiny climber up in the shadows of the huge volumes and realized that this route was going to be extremely strenuous and tiring. ..

Mello Blocco Air and Energy

Hmm, my first impressions on seeing the valley. Well, since I had never been to a large mountain range before, the excitement of seeing such an overwhelming beautiful natural wonder, did cause a slight hyperactive moment. After the hyperactivity had faded slightly, and the sun had risen, I took the chance to take in my surroundings. Aside from being shocked that these enormous creations which surrounded me were not even the actual mountains, the feeling from just being in the valley filled me with a sort of inner peace, yet inducing power in my chest and an urge to make the most of my time there; from wearing many hats to jumping in the mountain river!
