Peyton’s EPIC 2012 challenge

Good luck wishes from the Yorkhill Children's Foundation © Epic2012

Perhaps more than any other outdoor discipline we seem to have developed a penchant for long distance endurance endeavours and challenges requiring days, weeks or in some cases months to complete and a stubborn mind to boot.

We first got involved with self confessed long distance plodder Lee Peyton a couple of years ago. On that occasion he was pulling an icy pulk in the Yukon Arctic Ultra, and last year he pulled on his warmest socks for the Arrowhead 135.

Now Lee is back in slightly less icy conditions for the EPIC2012; his latest challenge of running, kayaking, cycling.. and dare we say it occasionally plodding 427 miles through Scotland taking in the West Highland Way, climbing Ben Nevis and paddling the length of the Great Glen.

We have attached the Alpkit SPOT Tracker to Lee and his team who set off on Sunday morning and hope to complete the challenge in 6 days. You can follow the SPOT tracker in real time.
