Less than two weeks to go before the Big Shake Out in Sheffield. Here are the bands we have lined up to keep you entertained.

Thursday - Live Night!
Renegade Brass Band, King Capisce, Neil McSweeney and Lazy Tree Surgeons or Flamingo Love Parade (tbc).

Saturday - Official Cliffhanger Party
Featuring DJ and live sets from Na Zdrove and the Balkan Bandits. As the sun sets over the Peak District you can let it all go, bust some funky moves and pull some awesome shapes to a mix of mellow and funky tunes late into the evening. For those of you wanting to take part in some fancy dress action we’ll be running a RockStars theme. So pull on those lycra tights, don a false mustache and dig out the old Whillans harness, the best entries will win a prize!

Sunday - Climbing Works Warm Down
The Climbing Works take over on Sunday night for their warm down party (invitation only). If you can get in this will be where the hardest and hottest climbers from around the globe will be. Get in touch with the Climbing Works for details.

Team Alpkit 8th at Mayhem

Just back from our first Mountain Mayhem 24 hr mountain bike ride. Team Alpkit was entered into the Tens category and excelled in all areas to finish in a very respectable 8th place. We will have more words and pictures on our site next month.

Junior climbing team success at BRYCS final

Last weekend the Nottingham Junior Climbing team made the long trek up to Ratho in Edinburgh for the BRYCS final. 187 competitors turned up for the final but first they had to qualify from over 600 climbers nationwide.

Black Mountains 3 Day
