Down sleeping bag prevision

With many people turning their thoughts towards the Autumn we have made a stock check on our remaining AlpineDream sleeping bags. We were hoping this batch would take us deep in to the Autumn, but predicting demand is not an exact science and although more bags will be on the way, we cannot guarantee we will remain in stock of some of the more popular sizes.

Hunka and Woomf winners

We ran two competitions at the start of the summer. The first was for a Hunka bivy bag and we can announce that Adrian from East Grinstead was the lucky winner. At the Cliffhanger outdoor festival we gave you the opportunity to win a Limited Edition Woomf bouldering mat. Sheffield Dave picked out the lucky number, he should be easy to spot bouldering in the Peak District!

2 weeks of postal strikes

The Royal Mail has announced that Alpkit posties will join other posties in a series of strikes over a two week period. This is likely to effect our services from Thursday 26 July - Wednesday 8 August. We will do our best to update our shop page with the latest information.

You wanted comfortable camping, Airic back in stock

Our camping mats had only been out of stock for a few weeks, but boy it has felt like months. We have been swamped by requests from people needing a comfortable camping mat for the bank holiday weekend, the Glastonbury Festival, or plotting their summer Alpine assaults. Today we have been doing our best to fulfill the backlog of orders and we have waved postie on his way in an extra big van. We shall be looking forward to an early night and more of the same tomorrow.
