Best of Kendal, Nottingham

We are proud to be sponsoring ‘Best of Kendal’ an evening of the top films from the 2005 Kendal Mountain Film Festival. The evening will take place at the Broadway Cinema in Nottingham on the 22nd of February at 8pm.

Ice Fest 2006

The Alpkit unplugged tour takes an icy turn this winter as we sharpen our picks and head out to L’Argentiere la Bessee for ICE2006. Over the five days of the festival there will be the opportunity to climb and make merry with an international crowd of ice enthusiasts. The festival also incorporates IceExpo so we invite you all to our small stand to help keep us warm.

Waiting for Filo makes drying paint seem interesting

Apologies to everyone still waiting to buy a Filo jacket or AlpineDream sleeping bag. They are in the country and we expect to get them any day now. Due to the increased awareness of bird flu anything connected with birds is getting examined thoroughly for the correct documentation. Those of you who have emailed us will be the first to know when they are available.

Wanted: Grit Info .. reward offered

We want to know your favourite or perhaps least favourite classic / esoteric Peak District gritstone climb. You will not be penalised for being creative in your description in fact it could give you the edge, the important thing is that both the image and the description should capture what the route means to you.

The successful entries will be included into the Alpkit product and published before Christmas. Everyone who is chosen will receive a free copy of this product.

Notts Bouldering League 05-06

Alpkit will be sponsoring the Nottingham Bouldering League ‘05-06 Series. As part of the sponsorship we will be hosting a mini site detailing climber scores, photos and reports. We will bring a selection of our equipment along to each comp for climbers to view and buy.
