Nottingham Junior Climbing Team

The aim of the team is to develop the raw talent that has been observed amongst the younger members of the Nottingham Climbing Centre.

The ideology behind this is to help the team devlop their skills (from strength and technique to the psychological aspects which are so important in climbing) so that they can get the most out of their climbing experience. For their own personal experience, we will enter the team into as many compititions as possible; focusing on the Youth Climbing Series. Doing well in these competitions is a byproduct rather than the main focus. Nevertheless, we hope to see some future world champions, E13 ascents and the occasional first ascent of a F9B or two.

However, the main aim is that they continue to love and feel inspired by climbing- if this is acheived then we have done our job. They will act as a representative for Nottingham Climbing Centre and they hopefully shall inspire other young climbers to work towards getting into the Nottingham Team.
