Vin Cox’s Great Bike Ride
23 / 06 / 11Assembly Rooms, Derby
In February 2010 Derby born Vin Cox set off “in search of adventure, in aid of charity, and in pursuit of a world record”. Within six months he’d cycled 18,225.7 miles alone and entered the Guinness Book of Records. More significantly for him, he’d visited countless World Heritage Sites, experienced dozens of cultures, and pushed on through some great adversities. The adventure made over £100,000 for charity, and was priceless to Vin.
Join Vin for the full story of his adventure and revealing anecdotes about all corners of the world; from “spying” in Egypt, to an earthquake in Sumatra, snakes in Australia, a weather bomb in New Zealand and riding in the heat of Death Valley. His story will be illustrated with stunning photographs and video from the journey.
