Mello Blocco

The international bouldering meet is fast approaching. It is time to toughen up those fingers because the rough granite blocks of Val di Mello are waiting for you. That’s not all; we are also giving one MelloBloccer the chance to win one of our unique boulder mats, a Giraffe Woomf Bling.

This is the third consecutive year in which the Alpine Guides of Lombardia have organised this famous bouldering event, which in the past has attracted the likes of Chris Sharma, Dave Graham, Liv Sansov and Lisa Rands. It takes place over the weekend of the 6-7 May underneath the shear granite walls of Val di Mello, Italy. The formula is simple, meet up with some friends, grab your pad and go bouldering. For the stronger climbers there will be 6 difficult blocs reserved for the men, and 4 for the women. If you have Google Earth click here

Sponsors Village

This year we will have a gazeebo in the Sponsors Village. It will be a great chance to check out Phud and Woomf. We will only have a limited amount of stock so if you are interested in something please let us know in advance by emailing mello@alpkit.com and we will try and squash more stuff in the van.

Of course we are not really going to work. During the day we will be out bouldering with everyone else, come and find us if you want to jump on one of our crash mats. We have also invited along Ashleigh, Beth and Polly who will be accompanied by Beths dad, Pollys mum and Ashleighs gran. We will put some pics up in the Academy when we get back.

Extend your stay: Bouldering World Cup

If you are travelling from afar why not extend your visit for an entire week. The following weekend the party moves to Rovereto for the Bouldering World Cup. Roverto is just 30 minutes from the famous crags of Arco, perfect if you have any finger tips left.
