This shot was taken travelling up the Esequibo River in Guyana to reach an Amerindian village. The conditions in the Amazon are such that my camera barely survived and most the lenses were scuppered by mildew growing inside them… me - I fared little better with a good bout of malaria as a souvenir from the trip!
