Unless you pitch your tent on a snooker table, at some point in the night you will wake up in a heap at the side or lower end of your tent. The first part of my design is to zip or velcro the sleeping bag to the ground mat, keeping the two in closer contact with less chance to slide downhill in the night. The second part of my idea is to have four independently inflatable chambers in the groundmat, allowing for levelling of the sleeping surface and leading to a more restful sleep.

In my outdoor leisure time I ski, climb and hike. My gear should work effectively, simply and consistently so I spend time checking equipment rather than throwing money away when choosing.
