Hood Peepers

When out walking in bad weather and the hood of my waterproof jacket is in use, It is most annoying when I want to look left or right, but only see the inside of my hood because it has remained still while I move my head. A see through panel is what I need, in each side of my hood, made from the same material as map cases, so that when I look either side I can get a better view!!!

Or a hood that moves with your head… wait don’t they already make those smile

This idea could also be extended to the peak of the hood for when you have your head down walking in to the rain. ‘Peepers’ have found their way in to a few modern backpacking tents, but the problem with a close fitting garment would be comfort and breathability.

Furtech have already done this with the hood peak, it looks a little silly but has had good feedback…

A bit like the Eider Kinetic jacket, then?  (I’d post a link, but the submission page doesn’t seem to like it; Flash, I suspect…)

I think it’s a better idea to design the hood properly so that it actually turns with the head; little windows are a solution to the wrong problem… wink

The lollypop lady/man in the next town has a hood with this king of ‘Peepers’
Looks weird, but makes life safer…
